This jacket is quite light and packs down small. I wore it in Scotland in April and it didn't let any precipitation in. It's not lined, but works really well over a fleece. Some crinkling sounds, but not obnoxious.

I just purchased this coat for myself after retiring my previous version of the same coat from 15 years ago and the upgraded material is so nice! It is comfortable and easy to move in (the previous version was crackly and thick) and the fit is great. I'm 5'8" 125 lbs and the small fits exactly as expected with room to layer a sweater under.

I haven't used the raincoat yet so I can't be sure how waterproof it is . Hence 4* . After my October trip to Iceland I will update . I just wanted to help with size . I had tried a large on on in a shop and it wasn't that big I usually take S/XS That together with reviews here made me decided to go for a medium . The small would have easily fit . However I can wear it even over my parka , which could be a plus ! I have a 34E with a 28"waist 35"hips . The arms are a bit long for me but I tightened with the scotch . I don't like the hood and can't see it being useful . The pockets are nice and large . The colour is not quite as nice as I had expected. I had debated between the purple and this I even went back to change a few hours after ordering but it had already been sent Over-all I recommend and really hope that it keeps me dry !!!

I bought this jacket along with the pants to keep dry and warm on a hiking trip to the Alaska mountains and glaciers. It is very lightweight so it was easy to add it to my backpack to carry it up the incline and back. Not only did it help with hiking, but also with trekking over a skybridge and on the many boat tours we took to the bay and ocean.

We are weekend hikers and for an upcoming trip we were told to get rain suits. This was on Wirecutters recommended list for budget friendly option.s. It works very well and fits perfectly. Not a lot of color options but I did care about that. I’m at 5’8” and 150 lbs I purchased a Large. I also got the matching pants in XL and they fit perfectly as well.

This is my third purchase of this jacket. Obviously I like it, however the latest version is a full inch smaller across the back and around the chest. It's made in a different country than the previous jacket, so obviously from a different factory. I measured my old one and was quite surprised to see that much of a variation. This makes a difference for me as these run small anyway, and I like to be able to wear a sweater or lightweight fleece underneath. I don't feel I have that option with a full inch being taken away. The other reason for only three stars is that the waterproofing in the lining starts to flake off after a few years, which is why this is my third purchase of the jacket. I'd still be wearing my first one if the lining hadn't worn away (planned obsolescence?). I have a couple of TNF Gore-Tex jackets that are 30 years old and are still in great shape. Things I do like are the stowable hood, unlike a similar jacket I have by The North Face which has no such provision. It's comfortable aside from feeling smaller, has long enough sleeves for me, and has pit zips to help with ventilation, and is lightweight and packs small. I liked the brighter colors of the earlier two jackets I had, but this is okay. As noted earlier, these do seem to run small, so order a size up, especially if you plan on a thicker later underneath. This may be my last purchase of this jacket, I'll look for a different product next time.

So far this has been waterproof - worn through several rain events. Breathes well with the pit vents. The hood is good because it tightens in several places. Wrists have velcro to tighten. Comfortable after wearing all day. Only thing is would be nice if cut a little broader in the mid-section - cut more for lady fit. But it still fit pretty well.
