Description

The XPRO Monopod Aluminium 4-section with Fluid Video Head is a professional full fluid video monopod made to satisfy videographers who leverage the height of their monopod to get above crowds and to achieve a wide range of shooting angles. These state-of-the-art Manfrotto legs have inherited the perfect combination of rigidity and locking safety of professional tripod ranges, like the 190 collection and 055 collection. This monopod is equipped with Manfrotto’s full fluid base (MVMXPROBASE) featuring the innovative FLUIDTECH system that makes Manfrotto XPRO Monopod+ the first of its kind on the market to feature 3D fluidity. The FLUIDTECH video base enables the ultimate shooting smoothness on pan, tilt and swivel for an expanded range of perspectives. The three retractable feet make it extremely portable when folded and allow the monopod to be easily carried everywhere. The new D-shaped aluminium tubes greatly improve anti-rotation resistance throughout the monopod, following the videographer’s rapid rotation movements. Combined with the Quick Power Lock (QPL) which strongly locks the lever onto the monopod tube’s flat side, this eliminates unwanted jerky movements. The newly designed leg warmer guarantees exceptional grip and full footage control with a special version of the successful Manfrotto 500 video head . The MVMXPRO500 replaces the Manfrotto MVM500A

  • Professional Quality
Pattern Name: Monopod Style: XPRO+ 500
I've bought two of these monopods and use them to shoot weddings. They're lightweight, but they don't feel cheap. They're easy to use, and allow me to steady my footage, while giving me mobility to move around and get my shots. Depending on how you lock off the bottom of the monopod, you can get some great Dutch angle shots, by leaning the monopod, while holding the base with your foot. ... show more

  • Absolutely must have for run and gun shooting!
Pattern Name: Monopod Style: XPRO+ 500
Purchased this for a couple wedding gigs I had lined up. It is fantastic! It's super light weight and easy to get around with on set. I even replaced my regular tripod with this because of how portable and efficient this monopod is! Depending on the camera you place on this monopod it's pretty sturdy. I have tried both the SonyA7IV & SonyA6500, both are pretty study on the monopod. I can leave it with the camera and not worry about it tipping. Obviously once you had more stuff to the rig and if there are harsh winds, it is pretty dangerous to just leave it alone. Tbh if those are the shooting conditions, you either bring a tripod or just stand next to the monopod while recording! Highly recommend to anyone that needs and on the go type of monopod. ... show more

Best monopod I've used. It's so surprisingly stable I replaced one of my tripods with it in my travel kit.

  • Everyday use!
Pattern Name: Monopod Style: XPRO+ 500
I am a professional videographer and this thing rocks! I love that I don’t have to set up a tripod when I am on the go. It is very sturdy for my larger lensed camera. When I had a problem with on the latches I was able to send it in and they fixed it up. The customer service is great!

  • The videographer’s best friend.
Pattern Name: Monopod Style: XPRO+ 500
Lightweight, fast, tall, and the fluid base is a must. If you do happen to purchase the fluid base, beware of blindly reaching down to fold and unfold the legs. There were some metal shards or splinters near the latch for the locking legs or the swivel lock that weren’t removed during the manufacturing process maybe. I cut my finger on something down there twice during the first 48 hours of owning it, and I wasn’t grabbing it in a weird spot or anything. But anyway, my injuries weren’t the monopod’s fault, and I’m standing by it until the end. Some may say I’m crazy, some may call it abuse, but I call it…… “love.” ... show more

  • Not built to support a lot of weight
Pattern Name: Monopod Style: XPRO+ 500
As shown in the video I posted, the brace does not work and the monopod falls down. I’ve only used it twice, both times at weddings for videography, both times using a Canon 5D Mark iv with a 70-200 lens, trusting that such an expensive and reputable monopod would work flawlessly. But during toasts it began to fall in the first wedding. But the second wedding 2 days after I could not use the 3rd brace to raise it as it fell completely on the cameras weight. The plastic key to tighten the brace does not work, as clearly shown in the video. Gonna ask for a replacement. Update: Received a new monopod within 2 days. Works just fine, and does it fall. Still, just wanna point out that the key it comes with to tighten the braces is made of plastic and does not work that well. ... show more
