  • Lightweight yet Sturdy
Style: Befree Sony Alpha Alu
The tripod is light, yet sturdy. Yes there is an expensive piece of gear up there….um spread out the legs. The ball head is easy to manipulate and stays put once locked in place. The legs telescope easily and lock fast. The tripod stays in place once situated and I’ve used for astrophotography and long exposure with great results. Seems very functional, and fits perfectly in the bag when you fold it just the way it came in the first place. ( reverse the legs over the ball head). Overall I’m very satisfied. ... show more

  • Manfrotto compact carbon fiber tripod
Style: Twist Lock - Carbon Black
Very sturdy but lightweight. I use it for photography and for plain air painting. Excellent tripod! Super easy to set up and folds compact for hiking. Highly recommend.

  • Sturdy and well made
Style: Level Lock - Black
The tripod works well with my Nikon D75-0 and my iPhone holder. This tripod is very easy to go from inside the carry case to having the legs fully extended. Maybe 1 minute once you get familiar with the product. The ball head swivels easily yet is fully secured once the knobs are tightened. I would buy again if the needs arises. ... show more

  • A good value tripod
Style: Level Lock - Black
After a lot of research, I chose this as my travel tripod for general travel, but also for backcountry landscape photography. It may not be as light as the carbon fiber options out there, but it also costs a lot less than those. It packs up small enough for me to secure it to a daypack. I like the lever locks on the leg segments rather than twist locks. From my initial use, it seems quite sturdy and the ball head locks up tightly. It supports my full-frame DSLR easily. I haven’t used the stability hook since conditions have not yet required it. The one thing I dislike is that I couldn’t get Manfrotto’s Arca Swiss compatible mount at the time of purchase. I had to get it as a separate purchase. So, now I have a Manfrotto quick-release mount that I will never use because my PeakDesign capture clips are not compatible with it. I would have preferred saving $50 by having the option for the Arca Swiss mount when I bought the tripod. My report on durability will obviously have to wait until I’ve used it a bit more. ... show more

  • Excellent light weight tripod
Style: Level Lock - Black
I am just getting into photography and I wanted a light tripod to carry with me, I have used other heavier tripods for stargazing, so I have a little experience with tripods. Although light, this tripod is stable, easy to use, and seems sturdy.

  • Best tripod I’ve ever used!
Style: Level Lock - Black
I was so tired of cheap tripods from Best Buy and Target breaking after a week of use I decided to try something more expensive. Turns out, it was 110% worth it. This tripod is so easy to use, super sturdy, adjustments are as smooth as butter, and so well made. It’s a bit heavy, but that just tells me it’s quality material! It folds down pretty small too compared to its full size! This has become one of my most essential tools in filming. If you are taking the first step into bringing your camera game up, get this tripod! ... show more

  • Sturdy enough
Style: Level Lock - Black
I am using this as a base for a plein air painting easel. The ball mount will easily hold a watercolor half-sheet and allow tilting to control wet washes.
