This was purchased to be used for 3 cats ranging in size from 12-22 lbs. All 3 of them fit into this with no problem. The 2 smaller cats actually sleep in it if I leave it out on the floor. The floor is sturdy and the rails for the upper part are easy to install and remove. I would highly recommend this product for anyone who needs to transport a smaller animal. My 22lb cat isn't exactly small but he fits no problem. I would guess up to about 25lbs would be ok in this. Has a shoulder strap so it could even be used to take your pets on walks or store trips.

I needed a carrier to take my cat to the vet for an annual examine. She’s gained weight so the small carrier wouldn’t work. This soft carrier was great because it’s compact yet fits my 20 lb cat. She doesn’t like it but it was easy to carry her and I can put it away saving space in my closet.

I used this carrier to bring my cat home from Arizona to Ohio over winter break on a plane. I was up for over 36 hours before this with finals so I was hoping to catch a nap on the plane, but after about an hour I woke up to a weird noise, and I noticed that he had chewed a hole in the mesh that was almost big enough to escape! Made the situation even more stressful than it already was. Would not recommend for air travel if your cat is a menace.
