I have had numerous pairs of running shoes over the years, including ones I used in the police academy running almost every day. These have surpassed my expectations for the $40 I paid for them and continue to fit well, tie easily, breathe freely and are extremely comfortable. Being flat-footed I am always a little concerned about arch support and how too much variation can cause a lot of pain for me over distance. I got these for my son, and let's just say, they're a mixed bag of sleek design and snug surprises. Right out of the box, these kicks score big on style points – the "Twist" pattern paired with the signature Under Armour aesthetics gives these shoes a dynamic, ready-for-action look that my son absolutely adores. But here's the kicker – when it comes to sizing, these shoes are like a plot twist in a thriller novel – unexpected! They run a tad tighter than his other sneakers, so there's a bit of a 'Cinderella's stepbrother' situation going on. If these shoes were a Twitter character limit, we'd need a few more characters for a comfortable fit. Nevertheless, once we sized up, it was like the glass slipper found its rightful owner. The comfort of the Charged Cushioning midsole, which is the bedrock of UA's comfort tech, really lives up to the hype, offering a cloud-like feel with every stride. Plus, the breathability of the upper mesh means his feet can stay cool as he's hustling from school to soccer practice.
