  • Perfect for travel, except carrying case!
Color: 10Pcs-1L-Green
This works great for traveling! It boils water quickly, is super lightweight, and the entire cooking set plus portable stove fits neatly inside the main utensil. It’s very convenient and compact for outdoor trips. My only disappointment is the carrying case. The stitching quality is poor, and the sewing threads started coming loose by themselves. The case needs better materials and stronger stitching. Plus very reasonable price! ... show more

Neat compact kit. Just dont like that it's not stainless as the non stick coating will eventually start chipping

  • A+ A Strong, Light and Useful Camping Mess Kit
Color: 10Pcs-1L-Green
I am a retired US Army NCO who is more than 70 years old, lives in New Mexico and loves to hike and camp. At my age, I'm always on the lookout for good lightweight kit. I do not submit reviews until I've used the item. My experience with this little kit was very good. The kit comes with a little fry pan and a little sauce pan that nest into each other. There is a terrific little carved bamboo stir spoon a couple of plastic little bowls or cups a little folding ladle, a sauce pan cover and I got a Prime Day Special extra addition; a nifty little metal folding spork. In addition to all of this, it has a nice little cloth sack with a nicely made plastic closure to hold the little kit nice and snug together when it is stuffed in my ruck sack. I washed it all up, stuffed in an extra pair of socks and a couple of bandana handkerchiefs so it did not rattle (an old army habit). I usually bring a little grub for the trip; a couple of hard boiled eggs, some hard tack, some precooked brown rice with peas and carrots and corn kernels and an apple or two; along with some dark roasted coffee beans. I set up camp after a few hours out. my tiny camp stove heated up and this terrific little kit did everything it was supposed to do. The coffee beans heated up great and the coffee was great. This little kit did exactly what it was supposed to do, it is light and strong, well made and I expect that it will provide me with hot meals out on the backside of the high dessert for years to come. I bought this thing sight unseen and hoped for the best: I got the best. If you come to the New Mexico high dessert, you will see the stars as GOD intended you to see them. Boil up some coffee and when you see the Milky Way, you will feel as if you could reach up and touch the face of GOD. Come and camp in New Mexico for your next vacation; and bring along this little MalloMe Mess Kit. You will never regret the journey or the purchase of this little kit. Signed, Frank ... show more

  • This Mess Kit is the Best!
Color: 10Pcs-1L-Green
I am seriously so happy with this cooking set. My hiking backpack is only 55L, so I don't have a huge amount of room and every inch and ounce counts. I'm also the type of person who likes to be prepared for anything when I go out, so having at least basic cooking items with me when I go out exploring is a must. This set exceeded my expectations. They arrived in their own sturdy drawstring carrying sack, and my first thought was how nicely compact the set looked from the outside. Then I opened everything up, and I was really impressed at how many useful items were packed away in such a small space. Lifting the lid and finding a folding ladle, folding eating utensil, and a wooden spoon/spatula just makes you feel like you have everything you need to put a quick meal together. The handles of the pans curve and fold against the pans when storing, and open up to make sturdy handles while cooking. Everything nests inside everything else to make for a really small and easily portable cooking set. Before buying this set, I read several reviews complaining that the pans weren't big enough to cook for multiple people in. They're not, but they're not supposed to be. This is a single-person mess kit, and an exceptionally good one. If you need to cook for a family of four, this is not going to be the most convenient or quickest way to do it. This set is sized to be lightweight individual gear for the hiker or backpacker. The pans fit perfectly on my portable butane stove, they clean up nicely with the included sponge/scrubber, and easily pack back up in an instant. Once everything is packed in the bag, there is still room inside the pot for a couple of other small cooking items that you may want to keep handy, or other items such as a lighter and your pocket stove. The only other thing I would have loved to have seen included with this set is an actual plastic spatula (such as the kind you would flip fried eggs with). I bought a small one from the local thrift store for .75 cents and added it to my kit, just because a wooden spoon isn't always thin enough to get under the edges of food and flip them, and I figured using a plastic spatula for those types of tasks instead of the included metal eating utensil will help protect my new cookware from scratches and keep it looking nice longer. ... show more

  • Practical & Durable
Color: 10Pcs-1L-Green
At the point of writing this review I have had this for several years now. I love it! It's nice for single person meal production, the little pot will easily make a packet of ramen while using the pan to saute some veg to put in it. My set is still going strong, I've used it while touching grass in the great outdoors & I've used it in the house on the stove top, they are almost just as cute today as the day they arrived. My one complaint is with the handles, I feel that they should snap into place or there should be some sort of hook system so they are easier to manage while cooking. They also fit easily into my pack & add negligible weight. The included bowls are a touch small, but if you choose to use them it's not like you can't get seconds LOL. ... show more

  • Lightweight and Useful
Color: 10Pcs-1L-Green
I got this wanting a compact and light weight mess kit for biketouring. There is a nice assortment of items but nothing extravagant, but then, that's not the point. It has all of the space for cooking you need as a solo backpacker or bike tourer. I can't speak to the long-term durability yet since I've only used it for some test cooks. Once I have been able to really put it to the test with an extended bike tour I will update my review. As of right now, I'm really happy with this, especially for the price ... show more

  • Ok For Beginners
Color: 10Pcs-1L-Green
I purchased this set last year and used it on several backpacking trips. It is lightweight and all nests together nicely, so that is a pro. However, I destroyed the mini frying pan on the second use. I cooked up a few cheddar brats over a propane camp stove and it developed a thick black char that wouldn't scrub off no matter what I tried. Very thin and doesn't take heat well. It is fine to use to boil water to make freeze dried backpacking food or hot drinks, but I wouldn't recommend cooking actual food in the pot and pan over any type of flame. Also the little serving bowls are flimsy and tiny. They do not hold a full serving of soup/pasta/what have you, and I'm a petite woman. If you are a large hungry hiker man, forget about it. Ok size for children. This year I shelled out the extra bucks and bought the GSI cookware set, which is what I wish I'd bought in the first place. Worth the additional money for the vast improvement in quality and durability. If you are looking for an entry level set that is more durable than this and has full size bowls, I recommend the Stanley brand Adventure prep+cook set. It's around the same price ($25). Edit: Attached a picture of flimsy bowl, holds a 1/2 cup, shown with measuring cup. If you want just 4 oz of rice after a 17 mile hard slog, this set is for you. ... show more
