When searching for travel cutlery I specifically wanted metal utensils that came with a case. One set arrived yesterday and the remaining two are to be delivered today. The black set (arrived yesterday): ferls sturdy. Looks nice. The case is fairly flat, so it will easily fit in the zippered outer pocket of the lunch bag. The case is hard plastic, it should hold up well, provided the kids font fling their lunch bags around or throw heavy things on top of them. I'll update after the products have been in use for a while, but they seem to be well made and perfect for kids to take to school. The price point is reasonable. The set is so beautiful & vibrant, the pictures does it no justice! The silverware is sturdy, stainless steel and easy to clean. The spoon & fork are full size but the knife is smaller than usual- which is not a biggie for me. The case is plastic and snaps close securely. This is literally the fourth set I ordered, as all the others had issues I couldn't see myself living with for what they cost. So imagine my surprise when the least expensive of them all topped every one I received! My one suggestion, should they want to upgrade the product, is to include a piece that holds the silverware in place so they don't just rattle around during transport. My husband & I go out for lunch every Sunday after. On one occasion, the establishment was out of vlean silverware so they gave us the plastic crap they include with take out orders! It was pathetic!! Neither of us could eat bc the plastic ware was so flimsy!! I will carry these in my purse & never be in that situation again!! I bought a set for my husband too!
