I bought this when I was camping in Tennessee a few years ago. It’s great portable camping gear the cups and bowls plates are durable with a nice finish the forks spoons and knives are a little cheaply made the material starts to loosen up if ya bang them on the side of pots and pans the plastic handles are held with only one rivet near the handle and metal ends that start to loosen and now just a few years later one spoon has broken I love the storage roll it comes with compact easy to store away for months not in use. The material of the metal spoons do not go more than 1/4 of the way up the handle, which makes them not so durable great versatility went at your campsite. ... show more

These dishes are perfect. What I ordered was a “used” set with some visible damage. What I received was a brand new set of dishes in a damaged box. Well, I didn’t need the box lol. Will be using them on campouts, rucking weight and Bushcraft for many years to come. Very pleased.

I love my camping dishes. So does everyone we've camped with since acquiring them. As far as functionality goes, they are dishes. Whaddya want? They hold the food. They clean up easily in a dishbasin (or with a Clorox wipe in a pinch). They're a decent size. They do not kill trees by being paper or create landfill by being plastic. I suppose I would like the bowls to be just a tad smaller so that my kids don't overload on their second bowl of breakfast cereal and waste about half of it. But that is really a small quibble, not even worth a half-star penalty. When it comes to style, they are awesome! So pretty and cheerful! I honestly enjoy setting my campground picnic table. We recently went camping with a large group and many of the other campers admired my dishes with a covetous eye. Not joking! And when I visited my parents at our rustic mountain cabin (where all of the dishes, flatware, glasses, etc. are at least 30 years old and mismatched) and we found there were only two bowls to serve seven cereal eaters at breakfast, I busted these babies out of my chuckbox. My mom fell in love with them and begged me to leave them for the cabin. I declined but next year I'll bring another set to leave. My kids love to eat off them and to show them off to campground visitors/companions. I will take small moments of joy anywhere I can get them, and it may be silly but these bright, colorful dishes have brought many such little moments to my family and me. Thumbs way up. ... show more

We have a family of 4, so this set was perfect for us on our national park camping trips. We didn't want to keep wasting paper, and plastic products. I would give this a 5 star rating but the plates and some cups came chipped with the enamel already wearing off. We contacted amazon and they sent a replacement fast. The replacement arrived today, and the same issue on some of the plates and bowls this time. The plates this time also came with a thick "drip like gobs" on the tops of 2 plates. They stick up about a quarter of an inch and run about 4 inches around on the plates. I'm thinking these are just going to be something that will always have an issue, and over time need to be replaced. Our last set was many years old, the enamel wore off after years of use and being banged around eventually started to rust. That's my concern with these ones, and why I wanted them replaced right away. The silverware in this set is wonderful though. They come with a carry case for them, and each have their own place in that case. The knives were great and even cut through grilled steaks with ease, very impressed for what seemed like a butter knive. I have to say though for coleman I was not too impressed with their quality, it seems to be lacking from what I remember about the brand. I was shocked to turn over each plate, bowl, and cup and see a sticker that said China ok the back. I had assumed that coleman was still a product made in the USA. I was sadly mistaken. I looked up coleman to see what had happened to the quality of the products and this is what I believe has happened. "The Coleman Company's headquarters are in Wichita, and it also has facilities in Texas. There are approximately 3,600 employees but most are not manufacturing jobs.[1] The majority of their goods are now manufactured in China. " This came from wikipedia ... show more
