This set is absolutely gorgeous. The lilac color is a bit darker in person than in the listing photos but that just displays the quality of the coloring. It's a perfect metallic lavender. This set of utensils is made of real metal, they're highly magnetic, I tested this. The fork is lightweight and easy to hold. The spoon is a great size, between tea and tablespoon. The knife is serated on on side and smooth on the other, doubling as a spreader and a butter knife. The chopsticks are notched with grip rings, solving the "slippery metal chopsticks" problem before it could happen! I'm very pleased! No other seller is selling a utensil set in this shade of purple and in this material. The two straws can fit the silicone straw tips sold by Mermaid Straws. It seems the color is some kind of coating, based on how uniform it is. Hopefully it's food safe and lasts for a long time. UPDATE After about 10 uses, the paint on my chopsticks has begun to chip away. All I've been using them for is ramen so I don't know what's up. Oh well. The paint job is definitely poor quality for the price. I'm disappointed but I don't regret my purchase because the rest of the set and the rest of the chopsticks (not the tips) still look great.

I got tired of taking (or forgetting to take) silverware from my drawer into work so I picked this up as it has more than I expect to need and its own little travel case. The included case is nice, and easy to clean, the utensils are solid, easy to clean; even at work, and dry quickly... The simple aesthetic also pleases my minimalist nature. My only issue thus far has been with the angled straw... Do NOT put this in a 16.9oz bottle of water or similar sized beverage as it's really not long enough and you will have a bad time of it.

The media could not be loaded. Thus is a perfect little set of knife, fork, and spoon. I got myself the purple one years ago. I use it every day at work. I liked it so much I got a green set for my son. This gold set is for my husband. Though I rarely use them, the set comes with chopsticks, 2 reusable straw and a very thin brush to clean the straw. Makes a great stocking stuffer too.

I run around a lot for work, and while I love eating out... I can't afford to take out a second loan anymore to order Mc D's, so I bought these so I could supplement my diet with an amazing number of premade ready to reheat Amazon Food products! [Including, but not limited to, beef and potatoes and Turkey MEATLOAF!] /Massive side wink to Amazon management and obsequeous thumbs up/ No, seriously, I do run around a lot, and I DO need to quit eating out, and this little packet lets me keep my silverware in my lunch tote. Fork, knife, spoons, choppie stix, straw, cleaning kit... and an added steak knife [what? I have a camping grill in the trunk.. never know when you want a steak for lunch] So far I have hit NONE of the suggested talking points. Let's see what Amazon thinks you should know: Sharpness: it's a butter knife and a fork. they're standard sharpness. Build quality: One piece metal. I'm almost positive the knives aren't 2 piece glued like the crap set I got from Wal Mart. Ease of hold: I guess I have normal sized hands for a 5"10 guy... they feel fine. Scratch resistance: well, they don't bang themselves up in the bag... so there's that. Thickness: Physically they're normal sized, normal thickness. MENTALLY they're dense as all get out: THEY DO NOT LAUGH AT JOKES! Emotionally they're very introspective, however. They'll ponder your words FOREVER if you let them!

I recently visited a sea turtle rescue, and realized just how insensitive and selfish an animal I am on the Earth. My eyes were opened to the amount of single-use plastic I have been using, (including grocery bags) and Ive committed to reduce my plastic use. Seeing a baby sea turtle die because it ate 90 pieces of plastic floating in the ocean pushed me to make a change- recycling cans and bottles on my curb isnt enough- I need to stop my use of plastics in the first place! This set of silverware will travel with me everywhere now in my backpack. I already have some metal straws (one in my car's glovebox) but now have a straight and a bent one to travel with me as well. And a pipecleaner to clean them thoroughly! Sadly, each utensil was wrapped in a mini-plastic bag, but the net drop in my plastic use will be long-term. The set is heavy-duty and solid. Stamped "stainless steel", the chopsticks seem to be solid, not hollow, so they hold in the hand better than hollow ones. The black color is unique as most silverware is...uh...silver. I considered the blue and the rainbow colors, (both beautiful options) but they seemed a bit flashy for me. Im wondering if they will scratch thru the black finish over time (hence the mini plastic bags for shipping) but the purpose of buying them is the driving factor. Ill probably end up wrapping a clean napkin between them so I have it for use if I need it while protecting their appearance. I wont be using these for hiking/camping as I have lighter weight options for that, but these are perfect for everyday use- when I need them at work or elsewhere because only plastic is offered. I am thrilled with these and recommend you buy a set as well!
