Features

  • Patented Design: PRx Performance is the creator and holder of the patent for wall mounted folding squat racks. The Murphy Rack is our squat rack that is budget friendly version on our Profile ONE Squat Rack with the same functionality. All Profile ONE accessories are capable of being used on the Murphy Rack.
  • Strong Durability: Made of all steel parts and bolted to multiple wall studs makes this rack able to hold 1000 pounds. All parts are made of quality steel with a black powder coat finish for added strength and protection. Added UHMW to the j-cups provides more protection to the rack and also your barbells. Plastic foot plugs on the bottom on each upright will eliminate any damage to your flooring.
  • Home Gym: Turn your garage or any room in your house into a home gym. By taking up little to no floor space makes it possible to have this rack in your home by only using wall space. This is a full weight rack that needs a barbell and weights to make it the whole package. Add a weight bench to be able to perform the bench press along with squats, overhead press, pull ups and chin ups.
  • Space Saving Squat Rack: Uprights stand 90 inches tall and 22 inches off the wall when in use and ONLY 4 inches off the wall and 108 inches when folded up. Turn any room or garage into a full functioning gym without having to sacrifice the space. Make this rack more versatile by adding the PRx Performance folding weight bench (sold separately)
  • 108" Ceiling Height: For the normal installation you must have 108" of ceiling height for the rack to fold up to your wall. We are able to accommodate down to 95" ceiling height with a modified installation. Modified installation is mounting the wall brackets lower so there is less travel for folding on to the wall. If there are any questions before buying please reach out to us!

  • Sturdy and easy to use
Color: Extended Pull-Up Bar
The rack is sturdy enough to hold 400lbs+ without a problem. Kipping pull ups also aren’t a problem, but you may want to check in on the status of the bolts from time to time. Installation is not the easiest thing in the world, but with two people it was definitely doable. Make sure to get and use all the tools needed listed in the instructions. ... show more

  • Low drag setup
Color: Extended Pull-Up Bar
The Murphy design is best compared to the other foldables on the market. very low drag to get your pump on quick! install is complex as expected but instructions are well written and clear. also mounting hardware nuts and bolts are high quality. get this over the other folding racks you won't regret. ... show more

  • Folds up easy and works great.
Color: Straight Pull-Up Bar
Took me about an hour and a half to assemble and install (I’m probably slow at it). As long as the studs are appropriately spaced like they’re supposed to be then it’s easy to install. ***Make sure you have the proper ceiling clearance so it’ll fold up against the wall correctly.*** Attention CrossFitters…pull up bar is really meant for strict pull-ups only. If you have the bench that goes along with this it makes it difficult to do kipping pull-ups or toes to bar due to close proximity of wall and bench. Overall this rack works great!!! ... show more

  • Cost efficient and high quality
Received this rack on a Thursday and had it fully assembled and used by Friday afternoon. Solely because just other plans during the day. Total I think less than 2 hours install if you have the right tools. The brackets were difficult by yourself and you definitely need two people for rack to bracket install. The rest is a single man job. The product is very sturdy and reliable. I am able to do TTB and butterfly pull-ups without issue (5’9”). It’s very convenient and easy to put up and down by yourself for quick stow away. Wouldn’t have selected any other rack for the price. Awesome job PRx performance ... show more

  • Exceeds expectations
The squat rack has exceeded expectations. It is as simple to use and put away as advertised. Definitely geared for CrossFitters / power lifters. The rack quality is high end sturdy, and I will get many years out of the product which justifies the price. It’s perfect for saving space and not an eye sore for gyms inside of a garage. I found it cheaper of coarse on amazon so I would look for any deal you can get because it is pricier than other folding racks and you rarely will find a deal on the PRX website. Its the simplicity and saving of space that you are paying for. ... show more

  • Very sturdy and easy to put up.
Color: Straight Pull-Up Bar
Sturdy rack made by PRX. The post are 2 piece instead of 1 solid piece. Very surprised being it’s their least expensive model. Toughest part of the install is finding the studs and leveling it. I would recommend that you have a 10 feet ceiling.

  • The is not the PRX Profile Rack
The most important thing I want to stress is THIS IS NOT the PRX Profile rack. It is very similar in looks but it is different. The Profile accessories will work with this rack. The beams are two piece rather than one solid piece that get bolted together (see pictures). My review: I've had and used the rack now for a couple weeks. I feel it does exactly how advertised and is a good cheaper alternative to the Profile system. For what it is I feel it is still very expensive. If you are not in need of saving space, I would look at solid racks that are half the price. I do like how easy it is pull out and store away which it what I was looking for. There are cheaper racks that fold in and out but I liked the ease of this system. Mine does not pull itself flush against the wall on one side so I have to use a little muscle to get it in place. Here are the differences laid out by PRX: Hey Tyler, The Rack on Amazon is a different rack than our Profile with Kipping Bar. Our Murphy Racks are similar to our Profile Racks, but there are a few differences: - Murphy Rack uprights each come in two separate pieces that you will need to assemble, Profile uprights each come as one complete piece. - The Murphy Rack is an international product, Profile Racks are USA made. - The Murphy Rack has 14 gauge steel, the Profile Rack has 11 gauge steel. - Assembly for the Murphy Rack is a little more complex than our Profile Racks. - Murphy Racks have an "extended pull up bar", which isn't an exact copy of the kipping bar. ... show more

  • Nice pull up bars and folds out of the way
Pro: +folds out of the way +doesn’t dominate the garage, lets me park, doesn’t scream out “gym freak” +excellent pull up bars (2 heights) +heavy gauge steel +good selection of accessories Cons: -assembly not the easiest: I used a laser level and was close enough, also, I didn’t have help so I assembled it in place. I feel like I lucked out getting the pneumatic struts attached. -metal is rough finish powder coat, possibly would have paid more for a nicer finish -expensive compare to a freestanding rack -lag bolts are inferior to Timberlok bolts, which is what I ended up using ... show more
