I wanted a set of utensils to keep in my lunch bag so I always have exactly what I need to enjoy my meal. I opted in the black set and the color is very nice. Reading over other reviews after I ordered had me worried about being able to open the pouch everything comes in. Well for my experience anyway, I was able to easily unzip the pouch and rezip it shut with no issue. So perhaps it was just a bad batch with zipper issues. I like the fact it comes with two types of straws along with a brush to actually clean them out. The fork is perfect sized and the chop sticks is a fun addition. The spoon though, while it will work of course, I am inclined to agree with others that it's huge. It's definitely more of a soup spoon. While I would have rather had a more normal sized spoon to match the fork size, it's still a completely functional spoon. So just a single star knocked off. Its all definitely made of metal, most likely stainless and has a nice round edge (sharp edges on cheap silverware is awful) and is sturdy enough that it should handle some heavier meals. I probably wouldn't scoop ice cream with it out of the carton though. The pouch lastly has a weird fabric texture on the outside as others have mentioned and a silver lining along with a colored strap on the outside. For me the case works fine and makes storing the silverware easy and adds to ease of use. That is going by other reviews as well, the zipper works for you as it has for me. Though I would probably prefer a different outer material but again, it'll do the job it's intended for. So with all the different colors and all the utensils one could ever need, makes this perfect to take with you on camping trips, picnics, or even during your lunch break at work knowing you'll have exactly what you need for your meal, in style! Like other reviewers, I am impressed by the quality of this set, especially considering the price. I’ve become a lot more conscious of my environmental footprint and was looking for a way to reduce my reliance on plastic cutlery at work. This product delivered and beyond the basics—all of which are functional, aesthetically pleasing, sturdy, and easy to clean—the additional inclusion of chop-sticks is a great bonus, and I find myself using them frequently. The straw, included brush, and case are all functional as well. Altogether this set stores well, and is lightweight, which would make it ideal for travel as well as work or local use. My only criticism, which is minor, is that the interior of the case lacks any way to attach the utensils so that they don’t rattle around when moving. Admittedly, this is a minor thing, but having a design that affixes each piece into the case would be a great addition. Either way, I definitely recommend this product. ... show more

I picked up this camping utensil set because I’m getting ready for college and wanted something compact and practical that I could keep in my dorm and also take with me when I’m traveling or camping. After looking it over, I really like how convenient the set is for situations where you don’t want to carry around a full-size collection of kitchen utensils. The biggest advantage for me is the compact design. Space is limited in a dorm room, so having a set of utensils that can be kept together instead of taking up a drawer or cabinet is really useful. I can easily see myself keeping these with my other dorm essentials and bringing them along when I’m eating outside, going on a trip, or heading out for a camping weekend. I also like that having my own set means I don’t have to rely on disposable utensils every time I’m eating somewhere away from home. They should be useful for quick meals, snacks, outdoor activities, and other everyday situations where having utensils available is convenient. The set also feels like something that will be useful beyond just camping. That was actually one of the reasons I decided to get it. For college, I’m looking for items that can serve multiple purposes rather than buying something that will only be used once or twice. These can work for camping, travel, dorm life, picnics, and keeping in a backpack for situations when I might need them. Another thing I appreciate is that the pieces stay together as a set, which makes them much easier to organize. I don’t want to have to search through my belongings for individual utensils, especially in a small dorm space. Having everything together makes storage and transportation much simpler. Overall, I’m happy with this purchase and think it will be a useful addition to my college gear. This is my at-work cutlery set, so I use at least one piece of it nearly every day. They appear to be plain stainless steel, and although they are not marked or advertised as a particular type, I have had no issues with rust or discoloration. The finish is smooth and the utensils are pleasing to hold and use. There's nothing fancy about them, but they're nice enough and way nicer than even the best disposable cutlery. I hand wash them, but I would have no concerns about putting them in the dishwasher. Today I had my first reason to use the chopsticks, and I was impressed. They are reasonably light, the tops where you hold them are slightly squared off so they don't roll around or turn in your hand, and the lines on the business end provide a reasonable grip on the food. I've been using chopsticks regularly for nearly 30 years, using many different styles and materials, and these were as easy to use as any I've used. The travel bag is nothing special, but it seems sturdy enough. The material does not feel fragile, and the zipper works smoothly and reliably. It's also washable, which is nice. It's a good way to store the set and keep it clean, which is all I could ask of it. ... show more

This set is absolutely perfect! It is exactly what I was looking for and more. I wanted a set with at least a fork and knife because I was tired of the plastic ones in my office either not being able to cut meals or breaking if too much pressure was put on them and I was bothered by how much waste it created since I tend to bring lunch almost every day. I actually almost ordered another set with just a fork, knife and chopsticks (because I am known to stock up my snack drawer with a huge variety of instant ramen) but I ended up stumbling across this set and I am so happy that I did. I may be good about bringing lunch almost every day, but I tend to get coffee a couple times a week which also creates waste with all of the plastic straws so this set having two reusable straws plus the brush to clean was an excellent addition. The quality is excellent and they clean very easily. Plus I love that they came in a little pouch so I can store them in my desk drawer neatly.
