I was always concerned having to purchase a trailer for my auto in order to purchase an electric scooter to take on my trips around California. I'm tired of my guest going for walks while I had to sit in the car or worst, on a bench. With this scooter, it fits in the back of my RAV4, and although it takes a little effort to put in and take out, I have found ways to make it easier. I put the front wheels up first and then pick up the rear and move the 90 pound scooter into the trunk. Most all my guests can also perform this with little effort, but i am able to do it myself. It has expanded my world. Also, if your familiar with the Monterey Acquarium, the parking is on a hill. I was surprised to be able to conquer that hill several times with the scooter. It is quite powerful. I now take the scooter with me wherever I go. The assembly of the scooter took about 15 minutes, and of course several hours for the first battery charge. This is an amazing scooter! I was skeptical at first but after I watched the assembly video, I was able to put the scooter together easily. The disassembly was also a breeze. All parts including the larger chair fits in the back of my car. The scooter is sturdy, well made, and has real power not sluggish at all. The battery lasted a whole day at Disney World with only a slight drop in the charge. It was perfect for keeping up with the kids. Having lighter weight parts, instead of two or three bigger, heavier parts was a real help to me! I love that the chair swivels. This Z-1 Scooter has made it easier for me to be independent.     • A comfortable ride.
Bought this for my 6 foot, 210 lb hubby. He has difficulty walking and can only walk short distances. This scooter allows him to participate in regular walking activities during family outings. He doesn't have to sit in the car and wait. This 72 yr old wife is able to lift the base unit out of the car and other parts and put it together in two minutes. We chose the deluxe seat. While hubby is a bit large, he doesn't have much of a butt. He has never complained of any seat discomfort during the rides. He chooses not to use the armrests so we took them off. But they are spacious and noncramping.. We purchased an extra battery, just in case. Never needed to use it. The first one has been dropped (about 30 inches) but it still works. Turning around can take a bit of maneuvering in tight spaces. You can always release the brakes and position it by hand yourself. Safety is an important feature for us. We've had no tipping incidents. Knowing that we can travel on airlines or ships with this scooter is a big plus. Last but definitely not least, price was right. Purchased this product for my husband as he has difficulty walking long distances due to spinal stenosis and peripheral neuropathy. We wanted him to be able to participate in family activities where walking was required. We used it for the first time this past weekend to attend the PA Farm Show with our daughter's family. It held a charge, was reliable, and was able to maneuver through the crowd, even in some areas where there were wood shavings down for the farm animals. I could'nt believe how sturdy and well built the scooter is. This product is everything the description said it is and more, I am very satisfied with my scooter. The only thing that I think needs improvment is the size of the basket. I went on line looking for a larger basket and I can't find a larger one. This is a great product. It’s easy to assemble/disassemble for transport. It’s a pretty zippy scooter so you have to get used to that and it doesn’t turn on a dime but it’s easy to adjust to.
