As a vanity stool, it is perhaps a tad low if you have a traditional vanity... BUT... I did order this item for use as a foot stool under my office desk. It is ideal for this purpose. The slightly lower height is perfect for the many of us who elevate our feet throughout the workday. This stool fits that bill perfectly. The cushion is quite thick and comfortable against heels and ankles; no hard edges or uncomfortable positions. I use a variable height workstation and the lower seat height works for the lowest position and highest position of my working heights. The stool is a good proportion for this use as well. Slightly smaller in size than a regular kitchen stool and slightly more narrow in depth allows this to fit below my desk with my chair pulled underneath. Assembly was quite simple and intuitive, and the company was considerate to provide an extra screw of each length. It is sturdy, well constructed of bamboo, and holds my husband's weight comfortably. The screws went into the bamboo pieces very securely, and I believe this item will endure well over time. [Please note that I received this item free of charge for evaluation purposes.]

I purchased this item because it met all my functional requirements and matched my furniture. The parts are very precision and beautiful!! So why are there returns?? The sellers description stated that as delivered it is easy to build in very little time. The assembly uses large L wrench screws and a L wrench is supplied. The ease and time are highly exaggerated to say the least, in fact rediculous!! To assemble fairly easily one needs tools that use L wrench bits.

What I like about this vanity stool is its minimalistic aesthetic. Outside of that, it is easy to assemble and offers adequate support while sitting. It is foldable for storage, but you have to detach the pillow, which is attach with Velcro, before you can fold it and store it. That is the part I don't particularly care for. Other than this, I did find it to be a little low for a vanity chair, therefore, I will be repurposing it as a footrest. The quality is nice enough. The bamboo polished and sturdy.

So I received this as advertised, one major thing that confused me when putting this together. I'm pretty savvy with tools etc, the instructions were pretty simple, 2 of the slots for the nails did not screw all the way in. They are actually still slightly out, will not go any further into the slots, not sure if that's supposed to be the case here. The design itself is simple, my husband is almost 175 lbs and he's actually sitting on it while holding my 33 lb toddler. So I'd say it's pretty sturdy despite the nails slightly out, there can be some confusion with the picture instructions if you're not very attentive to the directions, take your time. I not a huge fan of the look, the piece that holds the cushion in place makes it look kind of child like, like dollhouse furniture but for the price, I cannot expect something super elegant. This is a simple design, nothing pricey, cute for a corner or child's room.
