This is the second MAIDeSITe electric floor lift I purchased this month. One for downstairs and one for our upstairs living spaces. The unit came extremely well packaged, fully assembled and within 5 minutes I had the lift going up with me on it. I can highly recommend this wonderful people aid. It is reasonably priced, easy to move and in a few minutes to get ready to use it. My wife and I are in our upper 80th. In the event of a fall it is impossible to lift us off the floor without the help from other people. An outside emergency help is more costly than the price of this lift.

My husband, who is a big man, finds it hard to get around. Sometimes he falls and I have to call the fire department. This has saved us a lot of time, money and trouble. I just set the seat to the lowest setting, he crawls his way onto it and it lifts him off the ground to wheelchair height. It is heavy, but I manage to drag it to where it needs to be. It’s smaller than the hoist they wanted to give me and easier to use. Money well spent.

I bought this chair mainly to help with the older gentleman I take care of. He is a big guy and is very hard to get him up off the floor on my own. Shortly after I purchased the chair I had to use it to get him up off the floor. It is quite heavy, and even with the small wheels on it, it is very difficult to maneuver. Then once u get it in place, then u have to put the legs on it to help support it. Who ever designed this did a very poor job. Every time I moved the chair the legs would fall off, I would then have to stop and re put them on, taking up precious time in getting the elderly gentleman off the floor. Plus the seat dosent stay up unless u wrap the seat belt around it, but that dosent hold it tight. Once I managed to finally get everything together and staying there , I finally was able to get the elderly gentleman on the chair and off the floor. Once I got him on the chair, it worked fine. A little slow, but that's ok. I do have to say that it is well built, and sturdy, but has some bad design flaws. The manufacturer should at least look into redesigning the issues that not only I find bad, but other customers do as well.

We bought this chairlift because my wife has hypotension, where her blood pressure drops on rising and she's subject to falls, and too heavy for one person to lift. I had to call Emergency Services to come and get her up in the past. This chair is amazing. Since we've had it, she's slipped down twice and both times it was so easy to position the chair beside her, slide her on, and lift her easily to a sitting position from which we could transfer her to her wheelchair. This is an amazing product, quality built, that does exactly what it says it will do. We couldn't be happier with this product.

Personal Story: The floor lift was set up by my care-giver in the AM & we decided to let it that way. As I got ready for bed, I fell. I said a little prayer of thanks that we had let it set up as it was just 6 feet away. When I worked my way to it, it was facing the wrong direction. I simply pulled it to turn it & it just collapsed. I struggled for almost an hour and it was impossible with my leg handicap to put it together. Conclusions: It is poorly designed. It takes a healthy person to aid you. And, isn't for a handicapped person without a caregiver. Another conclusion is who ever designed it flunked out of engineering school!

Works pretty good, just need to make sure the legs are securely attached before using it. Once it is set up and you move it just a little recheck the legs. Purchased it for my mom because my health is declining and it is hard for me to pick her up by myself. She had both knees replaced and is not able to help due to knee pain. One of the reasons i chose this unit is because once she is up to the proper height, she can stand up on the floor and not a base platform like other units which might cause her to fall again. Once we received it and assembled it, i had her set down on it and lower herself all the way down and back up again to make sure it works properly. So it is Mom approved, and hoping she never needs to use it.

If and when I receive the replacement controller which would not charge, it looks like it will work. It's very low to the floor so I should be able to get on it and up to a standard seated position. Not much to put together but the legs will not stay attached if you move it so suggest putting where it will be used as it's not something that can be moved easily. Hopefully the new controller (which contains the batteries) arrives soon. After calling them they quickly sent a new controller that works. Trying it out very impressed how easily it picked me up. Also with Amazon r price reduction they reimbursed me the price difference Customer service was excellent!

The chair goes up and down nice and slow.It will come in hand if I fall on the floor.It has two floor brackets that come off too easy for storage.So I taped them so they will not come off.I will keep mine set up so it is always ready.It is heavy and well built.
