It took me a couple of minutes to figure out where to attach these, but once I did, babyproofing my kitchen was quick and easy. My cabinet door pulls are made of iron, so I had to mount the locks a bit away from the pulls to make sure the magnet worked properly. I ended up having to remove and reattach one of them—taking it off took a little effort, but it didn’t damage my painted cabinets at all, and it still works perfectly now that it’s in a different spot. Once installed, locking and unlocking them is really simple. My kid is pretty strong and tugs on the cabinet doors, but even with just the 3M adhesive holding the locks in place, they haven’t been able to pull the doors open. ... show more

These are very nice. They have a catch that actually works well.. The screws shown are optional. There is an installation tool (small holder-frame) which you remove once lined up. The lock does click well into place. I put one of these on my pantry cabinet because it's a hinge store only and I have cats who like to crawl in the bottom shelf. The adhesive is very very strong and holds great. Yes I have cats that can open doors. It is most annoying because I keep my Tupperware in that cupboard. ... show more
