I was looking for something that could anchor furniture to the wall but could easily be un-anchored from the wall in order to clean behind furniture or access toys that my toddler throws behind it. I loved the steel cable that can easily be unfastened and refastened for those times when I have to get behind the furniture. They are easy to install if you are comfortable using tools. If you do not want to put holes into your furniture then these are not for you. We used this to secure our wine rack to the wall To make the cable long enough to loop through the Wine tack we were able to join two of the cables together. It was easy to conceal, very sturdy and easy to install.

The media could not be loaded. Used it for a 9 cube shelving unit, as well as a tall (77”) heavy bookshelf. Both feel really secure and sturdy. They were pretty easy to install as well. Highly recommend.

    • Really hard to connect wire, included anchors a joke

THE ANCHORS: The metal pieces that you attach to the furniture and the wall feel strong and sturdy. HOWEVER DO NOT USE THE ENCLOSED WALL ANCHORS! It would be absolutely foolish to trust to those flimsy anchors in drywall to keep the weight of furniture off your child! I can rip one of those out of the wall with a heavy picture! Instead, use a stud finder to ensure you are screwing the metal piece into a stud. That is the only secure way to use these! THE WIRES: Now, the included wires feel pretty strong, too, but they are only held together with a tiny little screw. I’m skeptical of how well this will hold with repeated pressure on it (my little one is constantly trying to climb the bookcase - which I obviously stop as quickly as I can). But I wonder how well these anchors will hold over time. In addition, unless you have tiny hands, it is really hard to loop the wire through the hooks twice which I believe is necessary for extra strength on larger pieces. Using a pair of needle nose pliers might have helped but I struggled for a good five minutes on each one before finally succeeding. Very frustrating when I have a bunch of furniture to anchor. And even with a double loop through, the furniture still tips a good deal. Because our home has baseboard trim and trim for the flooring, perhaps our furniture is already out a bit further than in other houses but still. I was surprised how much it still tipped. With only a single loop of the wire…it would tip much further. That being said, I realize these aren’t supposed to keep furniture 100% upright but I was surprised by how far forward they still fell when testing.That may have just been my misconception, though, since I’ve never used furniture anchors before. So, overall, not a bad product when used correctly - with wall piece being screwed into studs and not the pathetic pieces of plastic they send you to use in drywall. The wires are a bit hard to connect, especially when looped twice but seemed secure when I yanked the bookshelf forward a few times to test. I’ve only used on the one bookshelf so far but am in the process of using on two toy shelves and numerous dressers and other furniture throughout our home to baby proof. My husband has been installing these and it’s pretty straightforward. He used wall anchors as we have an old house with old drywall. It can be a lot of steps but nothing difficult. So far everything has been secure with baby climbing on it

I bought a rather large shelf unit. Once I assembled it, I found myself concerned that the unit could tip over (forward) and inflict a serious injury on an innocent victim.
