I ended up using this with the suction cups instead of the more permanent solution. It is better this way because I needed it for a sun that hits one section of 12 feet of windows but it changes with the seasons. I was also able to use it traveling recently to block out light and nosiness of neighbors. I could move it around. The only issue I had was cutting it to the sizes I needed. I should have gone into my fabric store and used their straight edges. I don't know how they could have improved this possible issue. Maybe by making it a variety of sizes? The measurements on the product info page are very accurate. This is a large piece of plastic-like material. It is thick enough to be very strong, yet thin and light. Easy to cut to the needed size and with a bag to neatly store away the extra curtain (pic). The side that faces out is a shiny silver to reflect the sun and the inside is a dark black. With a curtain you never notice it's there except for the almost complete darkness it leaves the room in. Velcro pieces or hanging hooks give you options for how you want to hang/use it. I like how easy it is to install this. My window is on the smaller side and I always have trouble finding the right size of shade. With this, I can just trim it down to size and use either the sticker magnets or suction cups to keep the shade in place. I personally just use the suction cups so I can take it down whenever I want and put it back up easily. The fabric this is made of kind of feels like an umbrella, it blocks heat and light effectively so I'm happy with it. ... show more
