    • It certainly plays CD's just fine, but man those speakers...
This is definitely a CD player (and theoretically a radio, but I'm not using it for that). It's compact and looks fine. It plays audio CDs (but as far as I can tell, does not play MP3 CDs or anything). It has the worst speakers this side of the Dollar Tree. Muffled and somehow at the same time tinny. I can only describe it as "If I had to listen to music through these, I would hate music." thankfully I'm just using it to play lullabies for my kid at night and he doesn't seem to mind. I haven't tried the radio. I imagine it would have the same sound issues and the station uses a dial on the side with the number pressed into the dial so it seems kind of... difficult to tune but again, I haven't tried it since I don't need it... but if you need a radio I would recommend spending an extra three fiddy and getting something that shows the station on some kind of display... or at least a station BAR and not this dial. It has a little LED display but it only shows CD track numbers or the word "NO" when there's nothing loaded. Additionally there is no line out jack, so you can't connect it to better speakers. There IS a line-in jack if you have another device you want to play through this to punish yourself. Honestly, this is a music machine and it can only be used to listen to music poorly. Save your allowance, wait a week or two and get something better. ... show more

I bought this cd player on 21 aug 2021 after moving my grandmother into an independent loving apartment and she complained it was too quiet. I liked it because it was pretty simple to use and she was 95. I bought a cd of classical music and set it up for her. That thing played pretty much 24/7/349 days a year until the day she died on 10/4/2023 She didnt take it on her week vacation to my uncles… but otherwise this machine and that music were her companion. She was so grateful. I'll never know if it played continuously because she enjoyed it or didn't know how to pause and restart… but she thanked me for it regularly And i am glad it brought her comfort ... show more

    • Great, compact music machine
I liked the compact design and overall sound quality. I wish the AM/FM tuner was better and that the station numbers displayed on the front panel. Even when I know a station’s frequency it is very difficult to get a clear signal using the wheel

I am not the sort of "music person" that has to surround self with sound BUT I love to listen to my favorites, and this player has excellent sound...I REALLY, REALLY love it... To me it is perfect !!! Thank you so much !!!
