Great compact stereo. The sound is ok. It has a basic equalizer so you can make it higher base with the rock setting or high treble in the jazz mode. When the volume is high the music is a bit distorted. Also the lowest volume is Loud. Even when you turn it down its still Loud. Sound is not the greatest. Very low wattage but great for price. Perfect for a bedroom or man cave. Easy to set up. Holds 30 preset radio stations. Sadly only has one CD. The only drawback is the CD button is directly beneath the CD tray so when the tray is open its hard to get to the button. I just use the remote. The remote is really too small. Its about. 4in x 2in so it could get lost easily. Great for a bedroom or man cave. It has a solid blue light around the CD tray and volume knob. The speakers flash to the beat of the music. Reminds me of the light boxes of the 70's. Good value for the price. I would totally recommend it. I also got the insurance which is good for 3 years only $21.99. Fantastic deal. If they can not fix they will send you an Amazon gift card for the value and you can buy another new one with the gift card. I don't think you will be disappointed.

I bought this for my Daughter as a small replacement stereo. It works fine but it's really quirky when it comes to using a memory stick and .mp3 files. A good memory stick can hold hundreds of .mp3's and the way the magnavox works to read them is maddening. It's fine for tracks 1-10 but beyond that you have to tell it to play track 10 + 5 and continue in increments of 5 to get to the track you want. For example, to play track 30 you would have to use the remote to do track 10 + 5+5+5+5. Imagine what you have to push to get it to play track 189 on a memory stick. That or manually push the next button on the remote to get to that track 189 times. So, for that part this magnavox SUCKS!!! But for all other aspects it works fine and is a nice sounding device.

This radio works really well. We use it for the shop and the bluetooth feature is super handy. We love listening to podcasts while out there working and the volume is great. Super clear sound and its nice that it has a cd player for all the cds we still have.

I have a Soney CD stereo that is close to 20.years old. It is a duplicate of the Magavox 3 piece shelf CD system. In size and, speaker specifications . The only difference is the blue tooth feature, which I didn't need. Also it has the slide out CD drawer instead of the Manuel load. I hate the slide out drawers. They usually end up malfunctioning or jammed with the CDor Dvd so tight that you can' t release them without damaging the whole unit. My main issue though is the sound. After all that is what we really buy these things for. The sound was ok but not great when I played the first track. By the time I got to the 5th selection the audio quality got worse and worse. The orchestration was wobbly. The voices and bottom base were muffled to the point where you could hardly hear the artist singing.The Amazon associate told me that this was factory new. It sounds more like an old item that was refurbished.Before I made this purchase, I think I counted about 5 negetive reviews of this CD player that complained about the poor sound quality. That should have been a red flag. I don't know, I just thought it can't be true. Not Amazon. I thought technology must have advanced since I purchased my sony player 20 yrs ago. Btw the Soney player had an excellent sound. Gave me many years of joy but the speakers are starting to falter. That's why I purchased the Magavox thing. I can't ever recall being this disappointed over the purchase a record player, CD player, TV. Set or any type of electronic entertainment system in my life, and iv been around way before Amazon was even conceived. Yes Im returning this piece of junk.Next time I'll research and scrutinize any CD player before I make another purchase.

great system only if your looking to use it for the cd player because if you use Bluetooth connection it wont last long before it stops working and nothing will work until you unplug it and plug it back in but other then that it is a really great system I did only get it just for CDs anyway so works out

Very very bassy. Like to the point where you need to adjust the eq on your device to reduce bass. (Also you cannot set a default eq so you’ll do this every time). This is obviously made for people who decide quality on how much bass there is… and there is plenty on this. With the jazz eq on the stereo and bass reducer on the device you can make it sound great but yeah. This is a party box.
