Our built in refrigerator died in May 2021. Due to COVID it is going to take 4 month to get a new one so I bought to make ice in the interim. The garage fridge I moved into the kitchen doesn't have an icemaker. Anyway, this little thing worked pretty good for a while. It's kind of noisy but not terrible. It makes ice pretty fast. We have three kids and it's hot here in Texas, so we go through a lot of ice. This thing makes enough to keep us in ice water, and ice for cocktails. But not enough to fill up an ice chest for a day on the boat. Anyway, it lasted from mid-May until the end of July. Died yesterday. I submitted a warranty claim, and hopefully they get me a new one ASAP. New Sub Zero should be here in mid-September, so I just need a way to make ice until then. I hope I'm back in business soon. This thing is probably worth the money I paid for it for the use I have for it. Not a long term solution though. ... show more

One of the best additions to our new RV where we use a lot of ice. My only complaint is that it produces it too fast and we are constantly filling gallon-sized Ziploc bags for the freezer! Even on the "large" cube setting, it drops cubes about every 7-8 minutes. Plan to use it at our home bar too when not camping. Unit is not too noisy considering it's got a compressor and fan running. The Ice maker quit in our fridge..i didnt want to spend $200 to fix it because I'm anemic so I eat alot of ice and it wasnt able to keep up with me..this Ice maker has been my saving grace..it makes ice faster than I can eat it and it softer for my teeth...the noise isn't too bad, since my kitchen is open to the living room if the tv isn't on it almost sounds like the microwave is running but after a few days you get use it. ... show more

I waited to post this review until I had a chance to use this ice maker. I have used it in my RV a lot the past two months. It makes ice fast and drops the large cubes every 8 minutes or so. One tip I found is to let it dump three cycles or so, then dump ice back into reservoir. The cooler water makes very solid ice quicker and the cubes are denser. Would recommend this machine to anyone looking for a small portable machine. Not for a big group, but great for a couple. ... show more
