When I started 3D printing I was basically forced to re-learn the metric system - it had been many years since I needed it. The ruler set is a very good value for the money. The markings are pretty easy to see and would probably last long if they're used lightly. Don't know how they would last in daily machine shop use but they're great for the home DIY'r.

These are legible and in useful sizes. I am using these as desktop rulers and for the occasional straightedge for trimming paper stuff. Starting from the left edge they look accurate to within a 64th of an inch. The right edge I would not trust to end EXACTLY on the inch, but close enough for most stuff. I don't think one could get the pieces of metal without markings for as cheap as this <$7 price. The other sides are in mm and half mm and of course the end is not an exact cm since these are cut in inch increments. They are a little sharp but nothing that caused me any concern. ... show more

Nice, useful set of rulers. Not quite satin chrome and the markings are painted on, not engraved but if you want Starret you have to be wiling to pay the price. The finish is not highly reflective almost as good as satin chrome. These are a very good set at a very good price. The markings at the ends are precise; no "extra length" as some cheap steel rules have. Metric scales are on both edges of one side and inch scales on both edges of the other side.
