I bought a used 2016 Ram with Ecodiesel engine, and I discovered the dreaded lag when the engine is cold. I filled up on fuel thinking the diesel might be old, and I installed a remote start system and let the engine idle for a bit before driving. It wasn't until I filled up again and added this stuff that I noticed the lag is significantly reduced. I can't say definitively that it was this stuff, but it sure is looking that way. ... show more

Most diesel fueling stations will not be able to tell you the cetane level in their diesel fuel. You may come across stations that proclaim, "premium diesel". DO NOT confuse this with premium gasoline, which does indeed have higher OCTANE levels of 93 or more. However, with diesel, its combustion ability is measured by the CETANE level. That is almost NEVER displayed on the pumps. For today's high-compression, high-horsepower, modern diesels must have a cetane level of 45 or higher, like K-1 jet fuel. This product will garauntee that with each tank, you are getting the right fuel combustion point level that your expensive diesel engine must have. If you operate your diesel vehicle without a cetane additive, eventually you will need deep pockets for engine rebuilds or repairs. ... show more

I prefer to Archoil. Engine runs better and mileage is up 2 to 4 mpg depending on average speed. The only drawback is it's no easy to add to the tank. I solved this by pouring product into an old Archoil dispensing bottle.
