I want to start by saying there were a lot of choices for this price point. The main reason I purchased this one, the weight capacity was listed at 600lbs. I felt like one that would withstand 600lbs would be sturdier that one that only supports 250lb. *insert shoulder shrug* Anyway, this bed was delivered by FedEx, in the pouring rain. I never got the notification so it sat in the direct rain for over 5 hours. I was fully prepared to be disappointed when I was able to get to the box. To my surprise 90% of this bed is real wood and was easily able to be wiped down and assembled without issue. There were a few pieces of mdf, but because of the way the bed was packaged they weren’t wet at all. Overall, this bed is perfect, sturdy and an all around great purchase.

Ok. So. We didn’t give up even though we wanted to many times. We were cursing while putting this thing together many times. The angles that you have to hand screw things in to are really hard on your hand and your psyche. We have power tools too, all kinds, but the angles of this made it so you couldn’t use things that would have made it so much easier to put together. So it was very frustrating. If you don’t mind taking 4 hours to put this together (and that was with 2 people) then go for it. It was mentally and physically exhausting though. But pretty once it was put together and the quality was pretty good too. There were splits in the wood on the headboard but it wasn’t super noticeable so we just kept it.

The manual says all you need is a screwdriver; do not even ATTEMPT this build without a drill!!! Oh and the process of putting in bolts that require an Allen wrench (provided) is incredibly slow. You'll only have room to do MAYBE a quarter turn at a time. In the end, it looks super cute. Just use a drill. Needs two people to complete.

Looks good and is easy to assemble. We did have to let it air out for a few days because it still had a strong smell of wood finish. Also, I did have to sand the unfinished wood because it was very rough and left splinters. The rails have a sharp angle so we had to put a pool noodle on the length of the rail so my kids won't hurt themselves on the sharp edge, would be better if it was rounded. If you're willing to put in some work this bed is nice.
