Features

  • Safe MaterialLyromix wooden chicken coop is made of high-quality natural fir, and the surface is coated with a layer of non-toxic transparent varnish to preserve the natural wood environment as much as possible. Stable structure and high-quality metal support poles provide a sturdy shelter for your chickens
  • Waterproof & Moisture-ProofThe asphalt roof effectively prevents the chicken house from water infiltration during rainy days, ensuring a dry and comfortable environment for the chickens. The main poultry hen house is elevated to prevent potential damage to the structure during wet conditions
  • Dual-Purpose DoorThe wooden chicken coop door serves dual purposes: it provides daily access for the chickens and acts as a barrier against predators when closed. When lowered, the door transforms into a ramp, enabling chickens to easily climb back into the elevated coop. Additionally, the door's crossbar provides anti-slip benefits
  • Two Large Nesting BoxesThe spacious chicken nesting box offers a cozy and secure space for your chickens to lay eggs. Removable divider creates two separate areas, allowing simultaneous egg-laying by two hens without interference. The roof that can be opened provides convenient access for collecting eggs at any time
  • Comfortable Poultry CageThe roomy interior and adaptable exterior design make it an ideal fit for various settings, positioning it as the great choice for your backyard wooden chicken coop. Overall dimensions: 57.68''L x 27.56''W x 27.95''H, comfortably housing 3-5 normal adult chickens for rest

  • Nice Hen House
I have six hens in a chicken tractor and wanted a small house for the winter. Any kit will be light pine wood, but this seems to be fairly good quality. The exterior is tongue & groove; good for stopping the wind. It is simple staple construction with bolts and nuts to hold each panel to the next. The wood is completely unfinished, so definitely need to stain it. I would recommend staining the pieces prior to assembly; I wish I had thought to do that. Assembly was straight forward and simple. It took me a few weeks to get it stained and ready, in which time we had to move it several times, sometimes just me awkwardly wielding it around, and it has held together very well. I wanted an automatic door, so I removed the door that was on it and built up a thick doorframe so that the rising door would clear the roof overhang. The nest boxes are nice. The two roosts are ridiculously short; any amount of bedding nearly covers them. I'm still trying to decide how to alter them to make them more functional. It comfortably holds my six hens. I have set it up on blocks to keep it further from the mud and hopefully help it last longer. The hens jump in and out easily. Overall, I am very happy with the house! ... show more

  • This item is of good quality but takes two weeks to receive
The item in review was received with box in a very bad condition. Was very surprised that nothing was damaged and all items were in the box. Assembly was very easy and item was of good quality. No extra hardware and recommend you seal the item with a sealer before using. Item deserves a 5 star rating but only giving 4 due to long delivery times and condition of box when received ... show more

  • UPDATED: Arrived broken, now what?
UPDATE: After being contacted by the seller's customer service, we were able to replace the damaged parts. Now our chickens will be ready for winter! Assembly was not difficult, and all of the pre-drilled holes lined up without needing any enlargement. All of the hardware was in the bag, and aside from two of the smallest phillips-head wood screws which didn't have the cross in the head fully broached, everything went together in less than an hour. The chicken coop arrived with a broken end piece for the main box roof assembly. There were no crushed ends or tears in the shipping box, so I am wondering if the split wasn't damage caused during assembly. The fact that the split line runs directly through the screw holes makes me wonder if the assembler did not drill pilot holes prior to running in the screws. There is absolutely no sealer, paint, or other weatherproofing on the components. You will need to seal the wood for this coop to last more than one season in a typical environment. The white wood seems to be well dried and should accept any finish you choose to apply. The instruction manual has a contact email address, so I sent them a description of the damage as well as the pictures I have attached to this review. When I try to get assistance from Amazon it appears the only choice is to return the entire item. It is bulky and the closest UPS shipping center to me is 35 miles away. Hopefully the manufacturer can send out a new roof assembly, or at the least a replacement end piece (pre-drilled, I hope). If I can get a speedy resolution to this issue, I will come back and increase the number of starts, as well as provide the remedy proposed. ... show more

  • Small screws and thin wood
I would recommend using different screws than what come with it. After we screwed some pieces together they would fall right out because of how small the screws were. It's super light which is nice to move around while cleaning your coop. Super thing wood, will update after a bit for longevity.

  • Simple and straight to the point
My 3 and 4 year old helped me set up in 30 minutes. It's not too heavy for me to carry around. I'm 4' 11". It will hold my 4 chick's and 2 ducklings until they grow a little bit bigger. For $139.99 plus free shipping, it serves its purpose. I placed two treated 2×4x4 under to keep the legs from touching the ground and I'll go back in with sealant bc the wood isn't treated. My run is 4ftx8ft with tarps on top to keep the rain out. Let's just see how it holds up with the summer heat and humidity. Everything lined up well when putting it together. I wished the parts for ventilation was a bit bigger but I already expected it. A little diy and it'll be perfect. I'd def purchase another one when I build a separate coop for my ducklings AND if the price is right. I've seen it has gone up $40 and I just purchased it a week ago. ... show more

  • Not satisfied.
The door would not latch or close properly after the first few days. The inside is growing mold... its good other than it is untreated wood and so not weather proof unless you paint or seal it with wood sealer. The door changed shape after being out in the elements just a few days and then the lock didn't line up with the door after that. I want to return it forbmy money back. ... show more

  • Requires a little extra diy work
Overall it's okay considering the price. I live in the South and the humidity causes warping problems (the door latch didn't work after the first day and after a few days I couldn't even shut it anymore). Unfortunately, it has been pouring rain for the last week since I got this. I had some left over water sealant I plan to apply once it dries out, think the summer humidity is going to wreck it otherwise (currently winter). A few diy changes though and works pretty well. Put a door chain on the main roof and the hatch and it locks pretty well now. After assembling, the screws fell and the floor didn't fit, but a few nails fixed that easy. I would just recommend skipping the screws and buying a cheap box of carpenter nails. Other than that can't beat the price and it's okay enough for a temp/new flock. ... show more
