This usually happens when the surrounding area is too bright. The motion sensor is designed to activate only in dark environments (ambient light below 10 lux) to save energy. Why does the light stay on constantly? The PIR sensor detects heat signatures. The light may stay on if it's placed near active heat sources, such as heating vents, air conditioners, or direct sunlight. Moving it away from these areas usually solves the issue. Why is the motion detection not sensitive enough? This can occur due to three main reasons: 1. Interference from nearby heat sources. 2. A dirty or blocked sensor dome (a quick wipe helps!). 3. Moving outside the optimal detection range (up to 16ft/150°). Why does the light blink occasionally? Blinking occurs in two situations: First, as a built-in alert when you've adjusted the brightness to its maximum or minimum level. Work great, excellent light and timing!

I am so glad I purchased these motion-activated night lights. I have one in the bathroom and one in the kitchen. My senior parent has diabetes and sometimes has to get up in the middle of the night to grab a snack when their blood sugar drops too low. This night light has multiple settings to go from dim to fairly bright and also has a timer adjustment to be on for 1 minute or 2 minutes at a time. The 2-minute setting is perfect for her to be able to open the bread, grab the peanut butter or jelly and make a quick snack, and still be able to go back to sleep when she returns to bed since she does not have to turn on the overhead light and fully wake up. It comes on as soon as she gets near the kitchen doorway since it has a 180 degree motion detector. I also like that it has a light that comes out the bottom of the unit as well so it lights up the room to the front of it and it lights up the counter below it. Since it plugs in I don't have to worry about battery life. It's small enough to leave the additional plug open and usable, and it is attractive enough that it blends in with any decor. The bronze/black color perfectly matches our kitchen hardware and granite. I have the one in the bathroom set to just 60 seconds and at a dimmer setting so that it doesn't wake me up much. I have two dusk-to-dawn night lights in the living room and den primarily for our senior cat who was starting to get sundowners and yowl at night. If it wasn't for the fact that the cat needs a bit of light at all times at night, I would have put these in every room of the house because it makes walking through the house in the dark much safer, but then they turn off a minute or two after motion in the area stops. I am thinking of getting one for our front porch though so that if we leave during daylight hours and forget to turn the porch light on, we will have a light come on when we return.

Perfect Night Light for Hallways and Late Nights

I’ve been using this motion sensor night light for a few months now, and it’s been very reliable. The motion sensor works smoothly and only turns on in the dark, which I really appreciate. The brightness adjustment is easy to use, and the light is soft enough at night without being too bright. It provides enough light to move around safely without disturbing anyone. I also like the compact design since it doesn’t block the second outlet. Overall, it’s a solid, practical night light and works exactly as expected.

Bought two of these in may buy several more! The sensors work well, and the glow is just right: warm and soft. After we bought these, we realize that we could have used these instead of a very expensive sensor set we put on downlights in our sunroom. Price is fair, light is solidly off or on (no flickering), and are good-looking! Highly recommend.

I absolutely love these night lights! They are hands down some of the best I’ve had. The fact that they come as a set of two is such a great bonus! The design is sleek and modern, and they look really nice wherever I place them. One of the features I really appreciate is the motion detection auto setting. It turns the lights on when it detects movement, and you can choose how long you want it to stay on—either 60 or 120 seconds. This is perfect for middle-of-the-night trips to the bathroom! Another awesome feature is the dimming capabilities. You can choose from 5 preset brightness settings, or if you want more control, you can press and hold the button for stepless dimming, allowing you to adjust the light exactly how you want it. I specifically bought these to take on a cruise, and they’re going to be so helpful. I plan to use one in the main cabin area, keeping it very dim so it doesn’t disturb my husband when I get up in the night, and I’ll have it set to turn off in 60 seconds. The other one will go in the bathroom, set bright enough for me to see but not blinding in the dark. I’ll set that one to stay on a little longer for easy visibility after coming out of sleep. These lights are super versatile and functional—I’m sure they’ll be perfect for our cruise and will definitely continue to be useful when we get back home. I’m really impressed with the quality and design!

really like these. They are perfect for places like the bathroom so I do not have to turn on the main light at night. The motion sensor works well and the light is just enough, not too strong. It makes moving around at night much easier. After I got them, everyone in my family wanted one too, so now we all use them. Only thing is they are a bit big and take up some space on the outlet. good for dark hallways

I got this for my hallway which is pretty dark. It is nice that it doesn't stay on all the time , the motion sensor lets it turn off after awhile. The one I put in an open room works great, but the one I put in the hallway most times does not turn on sometimes until you are almost on top of it. Maybe my hallway is too narrow.

I love these! Got one for my elderly dad because he gets up in the middle of the night and needed a nightlight that doesn't stay on all night. (He is a light sleeper and the brightness of a nightlight can prevent him from falling asleep.) I put the other in my own hallway and love it. It's subtle, looks nice in the space and the motion detection works perfectly. The lighting options make it versatile and the price was very reasonable.
