Remove the ballast, follow the wiring diagram on your existing ballast, instructions on box say black wire with red wire and white wire with blue wire, unfortunately for me that was incorrect, I followed the diagram on my ballast which was black to blue and white to red and they work great.

    • YOU MUST DISCONNECT THE BALLAST AND HARDWIRE !!!

Stop acting stupid. You have to rewire and disconnect the ballast wires. Pull the bulb out. Pull down the trim and squeeze the retaining clips together to remove the socket Unscrew the 2, 3 or 4 screws holding the can to the bracket and push the can up in the attic. Remove the cover plate and cut the wires coming out of the ballast From the socket, hook up the two red wires to the hot, black wire. Hook up the two blue wires to the white neutral wires. Reassemble. The old socket will be loose in the can. I install around 40 a year ... show more

    • These do not work!

Plugged them in directly to the adapter no wiring needed. Tried several types of bulbs with the same outcome. The lights will shine bright for 30seconds and then all will shut off. I do not recommend. And I waited too long to send them back so now they are useless.
