    • Excellent, Accurate Soil Test Kit
Size: 20 Tests
Very easy to use & reliable results as compared to a professional university extension office soil analysis. It's a great value for the money and has 20 tests total (5 each for Soil pH, Nitrogen, Phosphorous and Potash). Instructions were straightforward and easy to understand.

    • Directions are adequate, seemed to work well. Let's me target my fertilizer better!
Size: 20 Tests
I agree with the other reviewers. I thought that I could do all 4 tests 20 times, but the tablets are enough for each test 5 times. It was easy to use, a little messy and for NPK, you need to brew your soil in water, shake well and let settle for up to 24 hours. I haven't had my soil tested through the ag extension office, so hard to know if the tests are close to accurate or accurate. But now that I'm a little more mature gardener, I need to be doing a better job of giving my flowers the nutrients they need. ... show more

    • Surprised by the findings
Size: 20 Tests
Provided me with the appropriate selection of testing to help in selecting the proper soil amendments for a healthier lawn. This kit provides enough testing solution to test multiple areas of the property. Simply follow the well written instructions and answers will be provided in short order by comparing to a color chart. It does require nimble fingers to separate the capsules in order to add the ingredients to the testing container. Take time and care and soon those bits of information needed will be had. ... show more

    • Disappointed
Size: 20 Tests
Purchased this because of all the positive reviews. When I got the product, it had already been used and pieces were missing. Informed Amazon. They gave me a partial refund and let me keep the product. Once I actually conducted the soil test, I was disappointed because the results are difficult to understand. The instructions are not that good. Very unhappy with this product because I still dont know whats wrong with the soil in my yard. ... show more

    • Nice, but there's some issues.
Size: 20 Tests
I like that this kit did provide the needed information I needed about the soil for my sweet potato patch. The test procedure was simple enough and the results easy to determine. The reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because I haven't found out how to purchase refills for the essential capsules needed for each test. Furthermore, I find the product description a little misleading (perhaps unintentionally) because it states it's enough for 20 tests. They DON'T mean you can test for Nitrogen, or the PH, 20 times. No, what they provide is 5 capsules for each type of test. So you can only test for one element 5 times. That wouldn't bother me if Amazon listed refills next to the same product. I couldn't find refills at all on Amazon, or on the manufacturers website. Does that mean you have to buy the entire kit after only 5 tests forany one element? That would be a huge wasteof plastic for the environment. If you have more than one garden bed, 5 tests wouldn't last long, especially if you want to retest after soil corrections. I will update this review if I can find refills. I have emailed the company directly. Another reason I substacted a star is because the tiny gel capsules are hard to open and pour/aim the contents into a tiny 1/2" opening. The test would be invalid if you missed and some of the contents spilled outside the reservoir. A shame when you only would ha4 more capsules to use! ... show more

    • Let the color develop
Size: 20 Tests
Review Image by M. Rua
Decent tests and seem to be roughly accurate. You must let the color develop for at least 5-10 minutes before reading. Package is a bit misleading stating 20 tests, as I thought I would be able to do ALL the tests 20 times, but it's really only five times. Maybe that's my fault, but it could be clearer. It is difficult getting the powder into the teeny tiny testing container without spilling any thought. Some sort of scoop funnel would be helpful. ... show more
