Unable to find a local business that could supply me with a vinyl mini blind, I turned to online sources and eventually ended up here in Amazon. Some of the reviews were mixed, which made me apprehensive about ordering this blind but I did anyhow. My review is below but first, tips for those who plan to install this without needing to seeing a psychiatrist. 1. For your own mental health, please take the mounting brackets out of the box and practice learning how it works with the actual blind itself while you're comfortably seated on the ground so you know what you're doing once you get those brackets installed in your window frame. 2. Now that you know that much, if your blind is wide (mine was 69.5" wide and 72" long), you should know you're going to need the middle bracket. Some smaller widths might only require the left and right brackets but given that the top mounting piece is a very flexible vinyl product (no, it's not metal), you're going to have a droop in the middle without the middle mounting bracket. 3. Speaking of that middle bracket, you should know that you cannot mount it in dead middle of your window as I did, which would have been most asthetically appealing. You can't because right in the middle of the top of the blind itself, they've mounted a metal piece, which appears to be part of the mechanism which rolls the blind strings back up inside of it. It's thick enough that it occupies the entire space within the top mounting rail of the blind, meaning you cannot properly seat the lip of the mounting bracket inside of it. You will need to offset that center mounting bracket you're installing in your window frame to work around this design flaw. 4. If it's a wider blind, helps to have a second pair of hands and eyes in seating the blind in the bracket. 5. Be careful pulling this blind up and down. The lower rail is made of metal but is easy to bend out of shape. Take it easy. REVIEW: It's disappointing that this company does not make the top mounting rail out of metal. It would be much more durable and would not droop the way an all-vinyl rail (this is all vinyl) will droop. The decision to put the metal hardware right in the middle in a way that was not modified so you could mount the middle bracket exactly in the middle of your window and snap the middle bracket in place is also unfortunate. I made it work by offsetting but as noted, with an all-vinyl top rail, it requires a center bracket unless you like a droopy blind. This is NOT the "S" shaped blind, which closes virtually all the way; instead, this is what I call a C shape, meaning that the blades of the blind do not collapse all the way on top of the blind below or above for complete privacy closure. If you're seeing total privacy, this isn't that blind. Some kudos: the company was prompt to get this custom cut and shipped. It arrived a full week earlier than promised and I'm glad to have some window dressing up again. The price was competitive and overall, I'm at least satisfied.

Usually I hold off on writing reviews after living with a product for at least a couple weeks just in case something goes wrong, so I hope I don't live to regret this early review. These are excellent quality at a great price. They don't install the same as the old school Levelor mini blinds, they have the metal clip on brackets similar to my old Hampton Bay blinds. Installation is a snap (you do need a drill) and they look great. The instructions said it would take about 15 minutes to install one blind, and that's pretty spot on. The cordless up and down action works smoothly, better than the Home Basics from Home Depot, and no complaints on the opening and closing of the slats. Finally, the size selection is outstanding and the arrived a couple days early. Would definitely recommend.

I order 8 blinds with three different sizes that needed to be cut. All arrived in a very timely manner and boxed well. I had a little hiccup getting started but that was operator error. Was I put up the first one the rest was easy to put up; although for me I did find it a little difficult to ‘snap’ the blinds in, but was able to do it by myself (disabled middle age female). I did have three blinds that had problems. One was never cut down so it didn’t fit, another one had a defect with the tilt wand, and the last one had the upper part of the ladder torn. It only required one phone call with a few minute wait time and no transfers to another person/department. There was no hassle and the rep texted me the link for me to send my order number, what the problem was and a picture. This was late evening. The next day I got email saying the got the info and would send me my replacement blinds which arrived two days later. NOW THATS CUSTOMER SERVICE!! The blinds are your typical vinyl blinds , the color was as expected and all had instructions and hardware. I took off one star because I couldn’t find any info on the box or in the instructions and they didn’t answer the question when I asked where does it tell me that they are room darkening blinds. I would have figured I wails be able to know for sure from the box or manual or they could have answered that question for me. Anyway, they are nice blinds and work as expected for a good price.

20 years ago, i got the same size corded levelor branded aluminum 1" blinds for ~$20. Today the best i can do is these automatic lift cordless vinyl blinds for ~$30. They do take time to install, don't feel bad, as other reviewers have mentioned. I wish the manufacturer would provide a little schematic paper template we could paste onto the lintel and drill directly. It doesn't matter what size blinds you order, just count 1.25 inches in laterally and 1.2 inches in towards the posterior to situate your first hole, relative to the outer edge of the entire blind. They don't provide this paper template so it takes time. But luckily the snapping on went rather smoothly for me (you do the top part first, then rotate the bottom in till it clicks). The blinds are a bit heavy to pull down, but easy to lift. It's a great value for money when you consider today's levelor branded aluminum 1" blinds with cordless lifts cost ~$80 for the same size that i needed! This is seriously a deal.

Understand that these are not a high-end blind. BUT, for the price you pay, they're decent. We needed shorter blinds for smaller windows (bathroom & kitchen). The blinds purchased in our local big box store were just not going to work. These fit the dimensions bill very nicely. Installation was easy. Again, be mindful that these are more "fragile" than others. While my husband didn't break anything at install, it's a possibility. They go up & down well. One of the adjusters was sticking initially but is better with use. Color is true white. They close tightly.
