This book is part of the 12 Days of Kissmas. This is the first book in the series. Millie has reached the end of her rope. In the middle of her frienemies wedding she loses. Then she gets in her car and just drives. Too bad she drives right into a snow storm. Then a tree falls on her car. Sam knows he said he wanted to meet a woman just not quite this way. What is this lady doing. She is going to freeze out here. Sam finds Millie in his family's first ever pear tree with no jacket on in a dress. This is just the beginning of the adventure the two of them have during this snow storm. The two find themselves in some interesting situations. Millie maybe be a little accident prone but Sam is finding it hard to resist her. Will he give in before the storm is over? This was a great quick fun holiday read. Can't wait to read more books in this series. ... show more

This was my first Mae Harden read and boy it surely didn’t disappoint! I’m addicted to these novellas lately but now I’m going to have to read all of Mae’s backlog! This sweet & steamy novella is just what was needed to get into the holiday spirit and even better is it’s on Kindle Unlimited. Millie is stuck being the maid of honor to a majorly dysfunctional couple and the bridezilla of the century. When she decides she can’t take anymore and walks out of the wedding, she decides to just follow where the road take her and that happens to be Maine. What she didn’t count on was the massive amounts of snow that would lead to her car being wrecked and her being stranded and snowed in with Sam for a few days. Sam being the ever concerned citizen noticed her stranded outside of his family farm and helps her get inside from the cold. The forced proximity of these two on this snowy mountainside and sizzling chemistry leads to more and I was so here for it. Millie is adorably clumsy while Sam is a guy who knows how to make lumber & flannel look hot plus the most adorable and protective dog ever. *cue funny and sexy moments* I loved how nothing about this felt forced & definitely recommend this Christmas novella 😍🙌🏽 ... show more

Sweet hot sexy .. They met fell in love got their HEA .. I wish there had been pay back to the ex friend and ex boyfriend ..because all in all this didn't even need the first couple chapters .. She could have just decided to go away on vacation and ended up at the same place

It definitely made me feel better while I was down and out for the count, though! As always, Mae's lady lead was a fiesty, fleshed-out imaginary being I would give my left hand to be like. And the man was as hunky as a plate full of Chips Ahoy. Add in Christmas, some tongue-in-cheek humor, and a golden retriever worth his coat in ornaments (literally), and Lumber Snack is a romance novella you're going to want to read again and again. ... show more

I wasn’t sure I was going to like Millie’s story being the pushover by her best friend and ex boyfriend but once she speaks up during their wedding and runs out I loved her! Then she stumbles upon Sam on his ranch and has to ride out the storm but these two find more and she forever alters her life to stay with Sam. Lumber Snack is short, steamy and full of laughs! Millie gets stuck in a snowstorm after an unexpected turn of events. She ends up crashing her car and gets saved by Sam. He and his pup Tucker get her warmed up and while it may be snowing, the tension just gets hotter! These two had me laughing so hard! I loved their story so much! A must read short holiday romance that will melt your heart! ... show more
