    • This is the best
I’m fairly new to smoking but everything I’ve read online is Lumberjack is the best. I’ve got no complaints. Nice clean smoke and the meats tasted really good.

    • 100 Percent of the pellets is the actual stated wood. No filler hardwoods.
100 Percent of the pellets is the actual stated wood. No filler hardwoods. This provides the best and most intense flavors. So for this product the maple in the mix is 100% maple; hickory 100% hickory; cherry 100% cherry Almost all brands use up to 80% filler hardwood so only 20% is the actual stated hardwood. Traeger is 100% filler hardwood with "flavor oil" added back in. Most brands are very clever in their wording. "100% hardwood" is NOT 100% of the specified wood for most. Basically if it's not close to $1 per pound then it's probably a filler hardwood diluted product. ... show more

    • Great but burns faster
Great smoke, but as a caution they do burn faster. I've read they burn slower and great for overnight cooks. I filled my hopper, used 30 lbs of lumberjack for about an 11 hr cook, it used 90 to 95 percent of pellets. Never burned that much with other brands. That being said the quality was noticeable, im sticking with Lumberjack ... show more

    • ONE ONE BAG, NOT TWO
would've been 5 stars, but the listing is misleading, you only get ONE 40lb bag. NOT TWO as shown in the photo. great product, though slightly overpriced for only one bag.

    • Quality wood pellets
Lumberjack pellets are one of the few to not sneak in filler woods as many do. I also like the fact that you don’t get a bunch of pellet dust at the bottom of the bag to deal with. These smell great during the cook and are true to the wood species expected. One thing I didn’t notice when I purchased was that they came in 40 pound bags rather than 20. I have a high lift to fill my pellet grill and 40 is more of a challenge. ... show more

The package arrived with pellets spilling out of the box. The bag appeared to be cut open. I received half a bag, and no option for a refund.
