I use this in my Cuisinart CPG-256 Portable Wood Pellet Grill and Smoker. Smoked a chicken roaster low and slow and it produced a beautiful smoke ring. Taste had a mild sweet smoke. My wife is a NYC gal who married what she calls her Southern Gent. Namely me. So I love my smoked meats. She likes only a mild smoke flavor. Apple and Cherry woods are the trick. I really like this flavor of pellets, it works well with both pork and chicken which I cook the most. I also found it works best across a variety of vegetables, including smoking garlic. I cook salmon and tuna in the summer and again, a nice smooth flavor.

I smoked a beef roast using the cherry pellets, it turned out great. It wasn't a strong dominant smoke flavor like hickory, but you could taste the smoke flavor. Yes, cherry and beef go together.
