I use this in my Cuisinart CPG-256 Portable Wood Pellet Grill and Smoker. Smoked a chicken roaster low and slow and it produced a beautiful smoke ring. Taste had a mild sweet smoke. My wife is a NYC gal who married what she calls her Southern Gent. Namely me. So I love my smoked meats. She likes only a mild smoke flavor. Apple and Cherry woods are the trick. Treager pellets are consistently reliable. Be careful if you use the grill for eveything because the heavier flavors like hickory can overwhelm meats like chicken. We either marinate or use our own rub, and we want that to be the main flavor. I have put pizzas and chicken pies on the Traeger, and the apple flavor IS the best- giving it an extra dimension without being overwheming.
