It’s a standard outlet. If you understand anything about working with electricity, you should be able to change the side yourself. It’s Wi-Fi capable works with smart life Alexa it takes 2.4 GHz which most all of us have it works with our type C and type a ports which is great because the new connections with all the new iPads it took a little bit to get it to hook up to my Wi-Fi That’s frustrating that could be improved upon for that all in all I give it 3 to 4 stars works great like on a kitchen island. ... show more

    • Functional and convenient wall outlet with USB charging

This outlet installed phsically with relative ease for anyone accustomed to basic electrical work. The straight in wiring connections on the outlet work differently that the typical spring-loaded connections on outlets -- the screws are used to tighten those connections down. This design worked fine for me though. Pairing proved troublesome. We had to repeat the instructions for pairing about 6 times before it paired with the Lumary app. This step was extremely frustrating. In order to save time, I tried to create an account on the web site before using the app and then just logging into the app. Bad idea... the web site logins are a completely different set of credentials from the app logins and the two accounts do not interact. If you use a password manager, the app identifies itself as smart321.com instead of Lumary. Once paired, the app seemed to work well. The top outlet, bottom outlet, and the USB connections (both of them as a single pair) can be turned on and off independently. I did not test automation with Alexa or Google Home as I do not really use those. It described SmartThings integration but the process appeared to be complicated and I did not yet follow the process to test. The integrated scheduling, however, seems to work just fine and is adequate for basic needs. Unfortunately, there does not appear to be a way to integrate this with IFTTT. I also didn't see any integration with Siri or Apple Homekit. Pros: Works well -- app and outlets Easy to physically install Google and Alexa integration Cons: App is hard to pair No IFTTT integration No Siri integration ... show more

I got this Wi-Fi smart outlet by Lumary. The description was very misleading, stating it came in a pack of 4 but that is not what you will get. I received 1 outlet that has a USB-A plug and a USB-C plug. That was nice in itself by having 2 power outlets and 2 other popular USB’s and then for it to be Wi-Fi was great. I connected it to my other pre-existing Wi-Fi stuff. I already use smartlife with Alexa on everything. Works good. ... show more

This outlet works well. Can control each outlet independently, and both USB plugs together. That's a bit of a sad limitation, because it'd be really nice to control the USB jacks independently of each other, as that's the primary reason I chose this plug. Additionally, it appears to be limited to integrating with Google Home and Alexa. This is also a sad limitation as I had intended to use this plug as a smart tablet charger, utilizing an automation inside Home Assistant. As of now, that's not an option. Hoping some smart developer figures out how to do it, as other options to achieve this aren't abundant. If you're okay with the limitations, I recommend this plug.
