The main reason I choose this item was for the 30 ft. cable. I have a $30 come along. It does not have enough cable for a useful double line hoist. This ratchet winch is quality craftsmanship. Everything about it is better. Considering its substantial heavy duty build, it is not too heavy to work with. I expect years of satisfied use from this one. I bought this to move some boulders and it didn't disappoint! Pulled the boulders out of a hole and to the spot 20' away. The 3 boulders were approximately 500lbs each and this thing easily pulled them out! 10 stars!

Great product at a great price! Shipping to Canada with UPS is a rip off. They charge an additional ~$50 brokerage fee. This is on top of tax and shipping! Plus they want a money order or certified check when they arrive at your door! Who has that? No credit card or cash. Had to drive 40Km to pick it up from their depot to pay with debit / credit. Other order I had recently for a similar valued product, charged ~$35 for shipping ~$30 prepaid taxes and it showed up at my door with nothing owing - some UPS special arrangement. So: Avoid UPS to Canada unless they have prepaid taxes and "no payment due on delivery" specified or ship USPS even if a few$ more. ... show more

I bought this primarily to lower a very heavy, expensive and finely tuned Jointer/Planer down a long flight of stairs into my workshop slowly and safely. I'll be using to haul all my equipment out of there into a new shop someday as well. It's a beast! Worth every dime.
