So I’m a big Grl. And I have very muscular calf’s and legs, always have. Raised in the mountains walking up hill most of my adolescent life, makes you have large calves . I have never been a boot person because of my thick calves! Associate that with being claustrophobic, boots tend to make me feel confined. They don’t breathe well! I love how a boot looks on most people. I have a small homestead and boots are like a requirement ! I purchased some cheap tractor supply rubber boots to work in the pig and chicken pen. They are half boots. I’m still not a fan! But I have to wear them. Soon as I am able I kick them off wash them down and put them away! So for Christmas my loved ones took into consideration of all my requirements and came across this Ariat Fat babies line of boots! Yes I also have a large foot for a gal! In the store these said boots are $170.00 all day. On Amazon they are $99 I received the boots on time and nicely double packaged! Not only do they fit , the calf part has atleast 4 fingers width away from my calf so i don’t feel claustrophobic! I wore them first time for about 10 hrs straight to break in and honestly they where comfy not much rubbing on my ankles or heal. I will need to purchase some long socks. Never owned any sort of work/country boot before so I'm assuming I just needed to work them in. They fit perfectly once I finally got my foot in it. I wear an 8 and it fits true to size. My only grievance is that it is super tight on the top of your foot that trying to get your foot to slide in took me forever and I had to literally muscle the hell out of it pulling them up by the straps and by the end I was sweating. I noticed it scraped the top of my foot and my foot was red after taking them off because they are super tight around that area. Again, I'm a novelist with this brand and style of boot. The heel part where you can feel the edges was also tight at first and I could feel the edge on my heel like the boot was too small but once you work them in they are fine. I wore these for two days straight for over 12 hours while on vacation and I finally broke them in. Be patient and trust they'll eventually go on easily and won't feel like work putting them on. ... show more

These boots look amazing. They are a little high over the top of my foot. They are are fairly heavy so they flop around a little. Wearing heavy socks helps. Very well put together.
