    • Auto engineer attempts at lamp design

Does what it says. Unfortunately the hooks on the shades are designed strangely. Instead of the clips sitting onto the wire frame, they are suppose to latch from the bottom, (unless mine came in upside down) which is a very unintelligent design choice as the lamp shade easily falls out and essentially impossible to move the lamp without it falling out. I decided to simply cut slits and thread zip ties too it. Due to this strange design choice, I would not buy this again if I had the option. ... show more

This lamp is pretty cool! It's exactly what I needed. I got sick of having to move stuff around that's heavy. I clean mostly by myself and I have arthritis. This lamp is so light! It can be a little touchy but I don't mind. To elaborate you have to put the pole together in multiple pieces. One piece was a little loose so to fix that I took my Leatherman and use the needle nose pliers to pull part of the pole back out. Just straightening the metal out helped a lot. I did not want to have to do a return and ship another item. Prime is awesome but I don't want to wait another week lol. The lamp has a little button that you can step on to turn the light on and off. It also has a magnetic remote that you can store right on the lamp pole, so no losing the remote. Again this is a very light lamp so it would be easily knocked over. I have it in the back corner between the wall and the back of my sofa. It's not very wide so it fits in a nice spot and it's perfect for reading. It has multiple settings so you can have a yellow or natural light, a soft blue light for night time just to relax and have a snack while you're watching a movie. It goes up and down so you can choose the level of brightness. Overall four stars. I think if the bottom was a little bit heavier it would be nice but I really did want something light so this works out. ... show more
