My husband works night shift and I wanted to help him sleep better during the day. These are REALLY dark, and super easy to cut (I used a sharp kitchen knife and it took maybe 10 seconds to cut it to size). The only issue I see is it’s very hard to bring them up and keep them up. I needed blackout blinds for my bedroom window since I sleep during the day and work nights. These were the cheapest I could find. They were a little hard to cut to size, but installing them was easy. So far the adhesion stick is holding well. The downfall is they are hard to pull down and push up. Used for garage windows, mostly needed for security/privacy, material is a very thick & plastic-like, very very durable, easy to trim with very sharp knife or saw, easy install, is a total blackout look, adhesion quality remains to be seen as only up 5 days so far, only issue is clips are not large enough to fit entire thickness of blind when fully open, can only clip about half the length of blind. We will get larger clips or clamps to be able to have blinds all the way up. Blinds do reach 72 inches in length but must stretch them out by pulling and/or placing weight on bottom to hold until stretched out. If adhesive strip fails it would be easy to salvage blinds with replacing with stronger adhesive strip. We wanted something extremely durable, easy to clean, to hold up in a buggy, humid US Midwest climate. Great value for 3 garage windows. Would buy again. ... show more

    • Redi Shade Comparison

At some stores the Redi Shade costs half the price of this Luckup shade. The only benefit of the Luckup is that it's thicker and may not fade as quickly as a Redi Shade. Both shades block almost all sunlight. Over time the Redi Shade becomes thin and allows more light to pass through. I haven't had the Luckup long enough to know how quickly it will fade. It's much thicker so I expect it to last longer. The main problem with the Luckup is moving it up and down. It's so thick that it won't hang flat. You need to have a tack or nail in the wall and attach one of the clips that holds the bottom of the shade to it. Otherwise it hangs at least 6" higher. And because it's so thick it's more difficult and time consuming to bundle it together and attach the 4 clips to put it in the up position. The clips are small and don't have enough grip so you are limited to how high the shade can go. I have to fold the shade part way, add a clip on each side, then make another fold and again add clips. It takes too long to do this and it looks ridiculous. And it still covers half my window. So the Redi Shade is still the best choice only because it goes up and down very easily. And can be folded up completely if you want to expose the full window. ... show more

Excellent quality and is fully blacked out BUT it's so short it does not come close to being 72 inches in length. I will likely be returning - I was able to reach out to the seller and request additional items since I wanted them for my babies nursery, seller was kind and so fast with sending out new items to meet my needs However the package got stolen due to me not being home so I had to make the choice to return my original purchase. I was overall happy with the quality of the product and happy with how willing the seller was to help me out. I highly recommend it if you are using windows that come done less than 72 inches. ... show more

These blinds are so thick and sturdy. They won’t stay up long if you just use the adhesive strip on the top. But I put very small nails along the top to help hold the weight. There is no light in my room on Saturday mornings! They are durable, strong, thick and sturdy. I have used them for just over a year and they still look brand new! Only 64” long. Not anywhere near to the advertised 72”, even fully stretched out. They’ll work fine for me, but not for others who need anything longer.

    • Decent shades, not meant to open/close

2 of the 3 have stayed up. The 3rd one is already ripped/broken a week after use. The ones that are still up are great, but disappointed I don’t have a 3rd one now. Can’t figure out how to contact the company for a replacement without having to return it through Amazon ( I don’t have a box to fit this in, pain in the a$$- I took someone else’s suggestion on here and used double stick tape instead of the 3M adhesive and that made a huge difference. I was able to clip the bottom part to the window, so it does stay well. They are cheaply made and definitely aren’t something you should open/close all the time. Mine are basically closed 24/7 to block out heat & light in my bedroom and they serve that purpose fairly well. Not as dark as I’d like it to be, but better than nothing. I will still try to figure out how to get a replacement for the 3rd one. ... show more
