  • Redi Shade Comparison
At some stores the Redi Shade costs half the price of this Luckup shade. The only benefit of the Luckup is that it's thicker and may not fade as quickly as a Redi Shade. Both shades block almost all sunlight. Over time the Redi Shade becomes thin and allows more light to pass through. I haven't had the Luckup long enough to know how quickly it will fade. It's much thicker so I expect it to last longer. The main problem with the Luckup is moving it up and down. It's so thick that it won't hang flat. You need to have a tack or nail in the wall and attach one of the clips that holds the bottom of the shade to it. Otherwise it hangs at least 6" higher. And because it's so thick it's more difficult and time consuming to bundle it together and attach the 4 clips to put it in the up position. The clips are small and don't have enough grip so you are limited to how high the shade can go. I have to fold the shade part way, add a clip on each side, then make another fold and again add clips. It takes too long to do this and it looks ridiculous. And it still covers half my window. So the Redi Shade is still the best choice only because it goes up and down very easily. And can be folded up completely if you want to expose the full window. ... show more

  • Good for night shift workers
We bought these because my husband and I work night shifts. I cannot sleep with any brightness in the room, and I wanted everything to be pitch black. This product came when it was supposed to and my husband measured it, cut it with a sharpened kitchen knife and hung it up. So far so good.😊 Our bedroom is totally dark now, I'm loving it! We don't have plans of raising the blinds to let the sun in our room, we'd rather allow it to be stationary. I'm just praying the adhesive works well and that we won't have to purchase the tape to secure it. I think one tip that will actually work is before sticking it up, clean the window or whatever surface you're gonna stick this to with alcohol, if it's not contraindicated. I just find that the adhesive sticks better if there's no oil or powder to render the tape useless or ineffective. Highly recommended! Good job and more power to all of you! ... show more

  • Doesn't stick
Everything was going fine as far as the cutting went. I even used a kitchen knife and while it took a little effort, it sliced very cleanly. However the adhesive strip just doesn't want to stick to anything. It's got a little of the tackiness when you touch it, but it won't even try to stick to the wall, and yes, I did clean it before attempting to install it. Would have just requested a refund, but I attempted to do that twice through my Amazon account and it wouldn't let me submit the request either time. ... show more

  • Window shade
The black out is very good, just slight light in sides if not completely flush after cutting

  • Works amazing for my baby's nursery!
The curtain was very easy to cut to size to fit my window (I just measured and used a sharp knife with it folded). I stuck the adhesive to the window frame so it would cover the whole area and not just the glass, which blocks out all the light! It stuck great and the room is completely dark with our curtains pulled over this shade. The only negatives I have are that the clips can't hold the entire shade up, they only go around small sections of it. Also, it doesn't like to stay down all the way and I had to either clip or tape the bottom of it to keep it down. Otherwise great product and does what I need! ... show more

  • Don’t do it.
So disappointed. Less than 24 hours after installing it, it fell on my 18 month old daughter while she was sleeping!! I want a refund, but I don’t have the box to return it and there’s no way (that I’ve found) to contact the company or even Amazon! (Picture of it mid-fall onto her while she’s asleep!) ... show more

  • Very effective, but....
Does a great job blacking out, but Make sure to cut a smidge bigger than you need or else you will have a silver of light coming in. The only other issue is that they are pretty hard to clip to stay up. Still achieves what it should and is good value for the price.
