This is the first robotic mower I've ever owned or tried personally, although I'm a tech enthusiast in general. I really love this model. It took me hours of research and watching review videos and comparing features before I came to the decision to buy the Luba Mini but I'm super happy with the decision. It has everything I wanted in a robotic mower. Some of the key things I wanted were: 1. High cut height for Florida grass types that thrive best in the 3.5 to 4" range. 2. Pleasing aesthetics - some mowers are just ugly, lacking in the visual appeal that I wanted 3. Easy maintenance - since I'm a busy guy, I really wanted a set it and forget it solution and this really does achieve this goal. Only minor periodic maintenance required. 4. High quality app with a good user experience - check 5. Enough battery to cut my whole back yard without needing to stop and recharge. Mostly a check, sometimes it needs a recharge but I have some ideas to fix that, as I think its caused by a steep grade in my yard. Changing the cut angle should solve that and alleviate the extra strain of that grade thus using less power. 6. Don't cut when its raining - check - this model has a rain sensor and won't cut during a scheduled time if its raining. 7. Big enough to cut efficiently and within a relatively short time, but not so big that it looks ugly or oversized for my relatively small yard. 8. AI vision - I wanted something that was using modern smart tech for obstacle avoidance and edge precision. The vision features of the mower help it mow more precisely and more accurately avoid obstacles. 9. Loudness - this thing is super quiet, you can barely hear it just a few feet away. Its totally silent if you're indoors, you'll only know your yard was mowed if you see the mower moving around, otherwise its just magic :) 10. Handle a grade - it needed to have enough power to handle a decently noticeable grade in the yard, while I'm not sure what rating of a grade my yard has, its pretty steep and this mower handles it just fine, no issues. 11. Minimize yard damage - the wheels on this model don't damage the yard, it won't dig in and tear up the grass when making turns if you enable the zero-turn option. Its highly maneuverable. 12. It needed to have space on the chassis to support the installation of googly eyes, to go along with the personality of the aesthetic design. This model has personality, and definitely has some good spots to install googly eyes. Highly recommend you do the same. Oh and give it a fun name. Mine is "M-O" taken from Wall-E based on one of the service bots from the Axiom. I can't say enough good things about this mower, it checked all my boxes, does everything I need it to do very well and as long as it keeps doing those things well - I'll be a happy customer. Loving the mower, had it about a month. I picked this one to help with a very steep hill that is a little dangerous for me to mow by hand. The meaty little tires, heftyness, and low center of gravity are perfect. As long as the grass is dry, it has no trouble navigating the steep hill. I also like the nighttime running lights (neat styling) and the mower does just as good mowing at night as it does in the day. The razor blades also allow it to mow in rain without affecting the quality of the mow & it doesn't get gummed up with wet grass clippings (tested myself). We did turn off rainy day mowing though, the meaty tires would have made mud holes in the thinner grass areas. I did struggle with connection issues but those went away after moving the satellite receiver. There were also tiny strips of grass that were missed on the first one or two sessions but if you mow 2 times a week, these will go away and leave you with a surprisingly well-manicured lawn. App is great, took about 30 minutes to map out my whole yard which is about .25 acres. I did need to edit a few areas after the first week and that was fast, no hassles. Only thing I'd change is making the leaf sweeper available for this model. Would definitely buy it!

The Luba mini is an awesome robot. Easy to setup and installation is very straight forward. The robot is very quiet while running, and quality is very good. The cut quality in very good, and wonderful that the robot cuts in straight lines. The APP is very easy to use. Mapping is very easy, and wonderful to be able to have many different zones if needed. I had a different brand in the past that the mini retired, and Luba Mini is by far a better quality machine.

Selected this one after failing with a wired model - Redkey brand. Great for those with the perfect yard (southern exposure to sky, no trees, easy access to power outlet) but be prepared for gaps in service (no satellite connection, losing local connections). The setup is quirky requiring manual mapping of lawn segments multiple times. Large segments are not ideal for scheduling cuts and require an overlap for the mower to travel from one section to the next. Manual mapping errors that cross over borders can require a complete restart from the beginning. Solar storms were cited as the cause for frequent positioning errors but I noticed time of the day also played a factor as some mapped areas will only complete without errors if done at specific times. Florida or other southern locations will have fewer problems with satellite connections while northern locations will have more limitations. Pros Fantastic cut patterns Recovers from most problems automatically (e.g. recharge required during mow) Easy reset of positioning for charging station Quiet enough to run at night without disturbing neighbors Works to avoid pets or other obstacles Handles steep slopes with no problem Scheduling cuts by area is easy and reliable Night time mowing with lights One of the few robot mowers that will handle bumpy lawns without getting stuck Cons Loses positioning data when robot and RTK do not have the same satellite connections - FREQUENTLY Mapping your lawn can be tedious with minimal options to edit any mistakes Front bumper falls off - one of the top online complaints Not suitable for yards with large tress dividing lawn - no satellite view under tree canopy *** Customer support is problematic and widely reported online as insufficient *** You will need to buy or build a cover for the robot mower Requires frequent cleaning of lenses for avoid obstacles Documentation is adequate but too limited to cover complete setup and daily use problems May require added expense of annual mobile connection fees - 4G No tools or guide to evaluate satellite connections before setup
