    • This does not fit a HONDA CR V 12-16 models
The basket seems durable, but I need more time to truly test it. However, I will say that assembling it and prepping it took took some time since it is not completely waterproof. Take time to seal it properly if you want it to be "waterproof." Aside from that, the actually mounting it on my suv was a nightmare and one that I won't be doing again. I managed to squeeze it on as best as I could, needed to modify some things on the brackets. Mind you! This item weight close to 30lbs, so doing it alone can be a workout for older folks. I've had it mounted for about 3 weeks now, and so far so good. However, my basket is currently empty since I'm testing the actual baskets brackets without extra weight for safety purposes. On August I will start to take some trips to the mountains and see how it does with weight on it. Then I will finalize my review. However, do NOT GET THIS FOR HONDA CRV MODELS 12-16. IT WON'T FIT! ... show more

I was tempted to get this because it looked nice and was affordable. Essentially, it serves its purpose but I am not impressed with the quality. It's just okay, not a steal and not a tragedy.

I like the look but the hardware didn't work with my cross bars. I had to leave the plastic spacer off of the mounting bracket so that the wing nuts had some threads to start on. Pretty straight forward assembly and install otherwise. Lightweight and easy for one person installation.
