Anyone who's tried to store or work on an LS engine on a standard engine stand knows it's not exactly a confidence inspiring experience — the bolt pattern is different and the whole thing feels sketchy. This stand is purpose built for LS and LT engines and the difference is immediately obvious. 880 pounds of capacity handles a complete engine and transmission combo without any flex or wobble in the frame. The 3 inch swivel casters roll smooth and lock solid which means you can position it exactly where you want and it stays there. 12 inches of ground clearance makes getting under it with tools way easier than most stands. Two piece design is smart for storage and the black finish looks clean in the shop. Five stars, exactly what the LS platform deserved all along.

I’ve been using this V8 rolling engine stand regularly, and it has quickly become one of the most useful pieces of equipment in my garage. I work with engines often, and having something sturdy, mobile, and easy to maneuver makes a huge difference. This stand absolutely delivers on all of that. The build quality is solid. The steel frame feels strong and stable, and it supports full engines and transmissions without any flexing or wobbling. The 12" ground clearance is perfect—it keeps the engine at a comfortable working height while still being low enough to stay stable. I’ve had LS engines and other V8 setups on it, and it handles the weight with no problem. The 3" swivel caster wheels are a lifesaver. They roll smoothly even when the stand is fully loaded, and they make it easy to move the engine around the shop without fighting it. Locking the wheels keeps everything secure when I’m working in one spot. It’s a simple feature, but it makes the whole setup feel safer and more controlled. The angle of the motor mount plates does not match the LS engine. This causes the stands to kick out at an angle. This now makes the castors want to kick out so it's a fight to try to push the engine around. The castors want to pigeon tow just sitting on level ground. I had to throw engine on hoist again and put washers on the top two engine mount bolts to kick the stand upright so it will roll around. I hope the welds hold, they kind of look ok.

My LS had been living on a wobbly furniture dolly for two months, which is exactly as terrifying as it sounds. This stand ended that arrangement on day one. Assembly is just bolting the two pieces to the block, and you can leave the transmission attached without any balance drama. It rolled across my garage floor with one hand, which feels wrong for something rated at 880 pounds, but the Q235 steel and powder coat are clearly built for it. Zero flex, zero creaking. Fit on the LS is exact with no drilling. The 12 inch clearance leaves room for a deep oil pan, and the swivel casters tuck it into a corner nicely. One thing buyers should know: this is a rolling storage and mockup stand, not a rotating rebuild stand, so it will not flip the engine over for you. For storage, transport, and swaps, it is fantastic, and it costs a fraction of the name brands.

I haven’t put these to work yet, but the second I pulled them out of the box I could already tell they weren’t built like those sketchy “hope for the best” stands you sometimes end up with online. The steel feels solid, the welds look clean, and once assembled they gave off that reassuring “yeah… this probably isn’t going anywhere” vibe. I picked these up for an upcoming LS project and wanted something that would keep the engine secure while still being easy to move around the garage without fighting it every five seconds. The swivel casters roll smoother than I expected, and having the extra ground clearance is honestly a nice touch when you’re working around tools, cords, or uneven garage floors. What I also liked is that these don’t feel overly bulky for what they’re meant to support. They seem thoughtfully designed instead of just being giant chunks of metal slapped together. The black finish gives them a clean shop look too, which sounds minor, but if you spend enough time in a garage you know aesthetics somehow start mattering eventually. Obviously I can’t speak long-term yet since my engine isn’t mounted on them at the moment, but first impressions are genuinely positive. They appear more than sturdy enough to handle the weight they’re advertised for, and I’m actually looking forward to using them once the build gets moving. If anything changes after real-world use I’d update my thoughts, but right now I’m feeling pretty confident about this purchase.

This is an excellent DIY tool to cradle your V8 in the garage once you've pulled it from the car. The design is simple and perfect for a tight home garage setup. The footprint is relatively small compared to bulky traditional rotating engine stands, fantastic for tucking a motor away in a corner. Both sides of the support feel very well constructed. They are made from thick Q235 carbon steel, which can easily handle the weight of a fully dressed LS block. I inspected the welds, and for the most part, they are consistent, even, and feature a continuous bead. However, one weld on my unit had a slight gap and definitely could have been done better. For a piece of equipment holding hundreds of pounds, quality control on the welds should be 100%, which is why I am giving this four stars instead of five. The kit comes with all the necessary hardware (M8 bolts, nuts, and washers) consistent with heavy-duty use, as well as four 3-inch swivel caster wheels to easily move the mounted engine around the shop. A quick safety warning though: The caster wheels are not lockable! Because this cradle rolls very smoothly, make sure you chock the wheels or secure it safely against a wall when leaving it unattended with an engine on top. Overall, this is a decent-quality, highly portable cradle with solid carbon steel construction. Despite the one minor weld imperfection, it is sturdy enough for tasks of storing, transporting, or rebuilding an LS engine.

If you are like me you love to have spare motors lying around, well look no further when it comes to a convenient way to store your LS. This is the perfect stand kit. It comes with everything you would need to put your engine on it. all the nuts and bolts are included so no need to go searching for some. Once your LS is on this it is easy to move around and feels stable. Ive never bought one of these LS stands before but i will buy more if i choose to collect more engines. Bang for the buck i think its great.
