I love how the steps are flat and a bit wide unlike most of the the other ones I found which were a round bar, my son is clumsy especially in the morning.     • Pay attention to the picture in the instructions!
Yes, this did take time to put together, but once we got the first bed put together the second one was a lot easier. We did have to take the first bed apart a few times due to certain bars facing the wrong way. The main complaint I have is that the screws are difficult to get in the holes when you are assembling the bench and desk, and they are impossible to get in the holes when assembling the hand bars at the top. Our beds are assembled, but without the hand bars because whoever painted it also painted inside the holes, so the screws no longer fit in the holes. ... show more

It was a two person job that took a few hours, but everything went together quite smoothly other one or two pieces that weren't tapped very well.
