Item arrived in used condition. Plastic end caps were damaged/broken. The side rungs were bent. Feet were bent. Item looked like it had been used and returned. In returning the item I had to take a day off of work to be at home for them to pick it up and then when they arrived the truck they brought was too small and they left without giving me any information on when or if they will return to pick up the item. This ladder was timely delivered, looks and feels solid. That said, it arrived with BOTH PLASTIC extension ratchet locks BROKEN. Will go up and extend solidly plus be secure, but with the broken ratchet locks it will HAVE to be taken down and laid flat to un-extend it for storage. I would have been happy to buy it from a local big box hardware store, but besides being more expensive, I had no way to get such a monster home. I ordered this and a reasonable time later some friendly dudes showed up with my new ladder in a truck. Easy. Climbing this is dangerous and almost foolhardy - but that's not the ladder's fault. We got this, managed to set it up (it has not moved since) and it served it's purpose. My wife wanted this for Christmas so she could get on the roof. Just received the 28’ ladder today, one of the latches is missing the locking mechanism. The ladder itself looks good. I have placed a call into Louisville Ladder for a replacement latch.

This ladder enabled me to reach all the gable ends of my home. My house has 2 stories and I decorate for Christmas every year. Not to mention I will painting it soon also. The only issue I had (not product related) was how much harder it was to move the ladder from one part of the house to another.
