  • PLEASE NOTE: This blind is 30.5" wide to allow for mounting the blind inside a 31" wide window. Each blind will be 1/2-INCH NARROWER than the width ordered to fit inside the window frame. Sizes stated within the product descriptions are listed by width then height. See measuring instructions to ensure best fit.
  • MEASURING INSTRUCTIONS: To determine the width measure inside of the window opening from left to right at the top, middle, and bottom. Record the narrowest measurement. For best fit, find the size with a width closest to your measurement. The height of the blind will be the longest measurement from top to bottom. A blind with a height longer than your recorded measurement will work as the blind can be stopped at any position within the window frame.
  • INSIDE & OUTSIDE MOUNT: This blind is suitable for inside and outside mounting of a window frame. Inside mount means completely installing the blind inside the window frame. For depth it is recommended for the window frame to be at least 1-1/2 deep for a flush inside mount. For mounting outside of the window frame, measure your window opening and add three inches.
  • CORDLESS DESIGN: The new child safe design features a cordless operation lift system eliminating the need for cords allowing the blind to be raised and lowered with just a touch.
  • HARDWARE & INSTRUCTIONS: Your blind will include instructions and hardware for both inside or outside mounting.

I had 8 or 9 small 31w x 36h windows with a very shallow depth and was able to install these with an inside installation which I preferred. They fit my windows very nicely when installed (photo attached) and are lightweight but sturdy. Due to how shallow my windows were, some preparation was needed. I installed the mounts by drilling upwards into the top of the window (2 screws per mount), and needed to order a flexible drill extension so I could get the drill bit as close to the back corner of the window as possible given both the shallowness of the window and the curved shape of the window framing. I would've been unable to install properly without the flexible drill extension that let me mount flush with the back of the window. I also trimmed some of the caulking around the window with a razor in places where the mounts were positioned so they could be flush with the back and top of the window and still allow the mounting screws to bite into the window framing. I had very little space to spare, so every 1/16th of an inch was valuable. A small battery powered hex drill/screwdriver made the job much easier. Your arms will get probably tired if you're doing the screwing with a manual screwdriver because you'll be working over your head and will need to apply upward pressure. Overall, I took my time, and I'm very pleased with the results. The first couple took longer than the others, but once I understood the process the others can be mounted very quickly. ... show more

I can't say that some of the negative reviews are wrong or are lies, but my experience was very different. The blinds arrived in perfect condition in the box. I'm hardly the king of handy men but I have installed blinds before at home. It's not difficult. Once you do a couple you should basically understand what needs to be done. These were easy to install and this is the first time I have ever installed cordless blinds as all my previous installs at home were of corded blinds If professionals are baffled by these and need hours to install them, you probably need to find somebody else to install your blinds. It's just not that difficult to install these. I put them on a back window which gets little direct sun and they worked fine there. One review, if I understand it correctly, claims you have to install the blinds in the brackets first and then somehow install the brackets, but this is simply not true. Mark off a couple of guide holes up top for the brackets, use a wood drill to drill small guide holes, mount the brackets for real using the guide holes for the screws and then snap the blinds into place in the installed brackets. If you do it another way, you're probably not doing it right. I don't want to be critical of other reviewers who I am sure are quite honest and truly had problems, but I really don't think this is very complicated to do. The installed blinds look fine. I will say that I really prefer installing and using corded blinds, but those aren't an option any more in the USA, so you have to make do with something like this. ... show more

We used these on our rental house for something easy till the tenants got into the house. Super easy to install for sure. The value for the money is for sure there. Sturdiness is awesome and super easy to go up and down. We have purchased other brands prior and when pushing down to shut the blinds it was hard and something it was rip out of the bracket but the brackets on these are awesome. I am glad Lowe's, Walmart and Home Depot didn't have the blind I needed. Ordering this one gave me the exact length without having a longer blind that would have bunched up a foot or so of slats not needed. I put it up and it looked great and fit perfect. On day three I twisted open the blind and the one slat cracked right were the string runs through. I haven't tried to exchange it yet and will update this review when I see how that goes. UPDATE! Submitted an exchange and it came in two days. Installed right away and have not had an issue with the new one so far. Still not sure it's worth the money but so far so good. ... show more
