It was my understanding that this was supposed to be faux wood, meaning it would have faux wood grains. I chose this because the other window I have has faux wood grains.... but these blinds are smooth. Maybe i misunderstood? I am a bit disappointed because I really wanted both windows to match. Regardless, I was able to install it by myself and I am relatively old. All the mounting hardware was there and it works well just like the one I bought many years ago from HomeDepot which I love so much. It blocks the light well and seems to be well made. ... show more
