  • Very Versatile, But I Do Think the Price Is a Bit Steep
I have really enjoyed using this multi-function cooker. It is honestly a very impressive and versatile kitchen tool that can handle a wide range of cooking styles, and it has quickly become something I reach for often. From slow cooking to rice, sautéing, and even sous vide, it does a lot more than a standard crock pot, and that flexibility is what makes it stand out. The first thing I noticed is the overall quality. It feels sturdy and well-made, especially the stainless steel design. It doesn’t feel cheap or flimsy, and the cooking pot itself feels durable enough for long-term use. The interface is also fairly straightforward once you get familiar with the different modes, and I like that it gives you a lot of control over how you cook. I’ve mainly used it for slow cooking and rice so far, and both have turned out really well. The slow cooking settings are reliable and consistent, and I appreciate being able to adjust timing and heat depending on what I’m making. The rice function also works great and produces fluffy, evenly cooked rice without much effort. What really makes this appliance useful is the variety of functions. Being able to sauté or sear in the same pot before slow cooking is a huge convenience because it saves dishes and keeps everything in one place. I also think the sous vide feature is a nice bonus for anyone who enjoys experimenting with more precise cooking methods. It really does feel like an all-in-one kitchen appliance. That being said, my only real concern is the price. While I do think it is a great product and performs very well, I personally feel like it is on the expensive side compared to other slow cookers or multi-cookers on the market that offer similar basic functions. It works beautifully, but I do think the cost could be more competitive. Overall, I am very happy with how it performs. It is a high-quality, versatile cooking tool that makes meal prep easier and more efficient. If you are someone who enjoys cooking and wants an all-in-one appliance with multiple functions, this is definitely a great option. Just keep in mind that you are paying a premium price for the added features and build quality. ... show more

  • A Worthy Investment for Flawless Precision Cooking A Worthy Investment for Flawless Precision Cooking
TL;DR - A pricey but exceptionally versatile 7-quart stainless steel multi-cooker that truly delivers on its precision cooking promises. It easily replaces multiple kitchen appliances and boasts a capacity large enough to feed a crowd. I have always wanted to try sous vide cooking after my brother raved about how incredibly moist and delicious meals turn out using that method. I picked up this Lotus multi-cooker on Amazon, and I can confirm that his claims are absolutely true. Through my experience testing various household and kitchen products for the Amazon Vine program, I have seen many appliances promise the world and fall short. However, this 1300-watt stainless steel unit is genuinely impressive. So far, I have primarily used the water bath mode to make sous vide chicken using simple Ziploc bags. The included rack and temperature probe kept everything perfectly precise, resulting in tender and flawless chicken every single time. While I have only personally tested the sous vide function so far, the unit includes dedicated settings for perfectly plump rice and effortless sautéing. Assuming these functions perform as consistently as the water bath, it will be a phenomenal all-in-one replacement for my standard crockpot. It offers highly customizable slow cooking options, including manual settings that run for up to 24 hours. I am already planning to use the dump-and-start method to make a large batch of beef chili. In fact, this 7-quart capacity model is significantly larger than my old slow cooker. It is spacious enough to easily accommodate meals for large gatherings, and the ability to sear meat on high heat in the exact same pot before slow cooking is a huge bonus. At nearly seven hundred dollars, the price tag is undeniably steep. Yet, considering it bundles six distinct culinary tools into a single professional-grade Dutch oven design, it easily justifies the cost by delivering fantastic meals consistently. ... show more

  • Extremely Versatile Cooker, But Hard to Justify the Premium Price Extremely Versatile Cooker, But Hard to Justify the Premium Price
This cooker impressed me with how versatile it is. Over the course of testing, I've used it to make brown rice, sous vide chicken breast, osso buco, and country-style ribs, and every one of those dishes came out exceptionally well. The rice mode produced perfectly cooked brown rice, the sous vide function delivered tender and evenly cooked chicken, and both the braised osso buco and slow-cooked ribs turned out exactly as hoped. It handles a surprisingly wide range of cooking tasks and does so with very good results. The build quality is also excellent. The base unit is quite heavy, which gives it a durable, premium feel rather than the lightweight construction found in many multi-cookers. The included Dutch oven insert is a very versatile features. Being able to use the same insert on the stovetop, in the oven, and in the cooker itself adds a lot of flexibility and reduces the number of dishes involved in meal preparation. That versatility alone makes it more useful than many competing appliances. Keep in mind that's it's considerably larger than other appliances (the base itself is quite heavy and large, although the insert isn't very big), so counter/shelf space is a concern. The controls are straightforward, and having multiple cooking modes available makes it easy to experiment with different techniques without needing several separate appliances cluttering the kitchen. That said, this is an expensive appliance, and that's where my hesitation comes in. While it performs well and feels like a quality product, I'm not entirely convinced it offers enough additional value for the price. If it also included pressure-cooking functionality, I could potentially replace my Instant Pot and consolidate multiple appliances into one. Additionally the Dutch oven isn't big enough for me to get rid of my immersion cooker, which I use to sous vide turkey during the holidays (the Dutch oven is too small). That would make the higher cost much easier to justify. As it stands, I like using it and appreciate what it does well, but I'm not sure I would choose it again at this price point. It's a very capable and well-built cooker, but the value proposition feels just a little off. If I could give 4.5 stars, I probably would. ... show more

  • Luxury appliance that akes the guesswork out of cooking a perfect steak
Wow this thing is a beast. It feels premium from start to finish. It arrives in a huge box that makes you stop and admire it for a second and gets you excited to open it. The presentation and quick start materials are very well done. The silicone handles are silky smooth and substantial, the stainless steel feels impeccable and heavy-duty, and even the control dial turns smoothly in a satisfying way. The lid design also feels very thought-out and well executed. I’m newer to sous vide cooking but love experimenting with ways to elevate cooking at home, so the sous vide functionality was definitely the biggest draw for me. The built-in temperature probe that plugs directly into the appliance is a feature I especially like. Despite being compact for what it does, it feels like a powerhouse. We made a ribeye sous vide and it came out incredibly juicy and perfectly cooked edge to edge. We live at high elevation and I sometimes struggle with drying out meats, but this completely eliminated that problem. I also appreciate that it’s versatile enough to function as a Dutch oven style multi-cooker instead of being a single-purpose appliance. Overall it feels thoughtfully engineered, versatile, and genuinely premium. ... show more

  • Expensive, but very capable
I picked this up because I wanted one cooker that could handle more than basic slow cooking. This Lotus cooker is definitely a premium appliance, and the price reflects that. The 7 quart capacity is useful for family meals, roasts, rice, soups, and batch cooking. I like that it combines slow cooking, sous vide style cooking, rice cooking, and Dutch oven style use in one unit. The stainless design looks nice and feels high end on the counter. The controls take a little learning, but they are not bad once you use it a few times. It is large, so storage space matters. If you will use several of the functions, it is a very nice cooker. If you only need a basic crock pot, it is probably overkill. If you need a crock pot and are also interested in sous vide, this is awesome. ... show more

  • Really nice cooker Really nice cooker
I’m really excited to use this. It looks very high quality and feels sturdy and professional right out of the box. I like that it combines so many functions into one appliance, especially for someone who enjoys cooking but wants to save space overall. It is definitely on the larger side, so in a small kitchen you need to plan where to store it, but it has a really nice presence and feels like a serious kitchen piece. ... show more

  • Versatile Kitchen Workhorse
I've been really impressed with how much this cooker can do. The variety of cooking functions makes it incredibly versatile, and it performs well whether you're slow cooking, making rice, or using some of the more advanced settings. Cleaning it isnt horrible and the durability of the set up is there. My only minor complaint is that it's fairly large, so finding cabinet space for storage can be a little challenging. That said, the size also contributes to its generous capacity, which is great for family meals and batch cooking. If you have the counter or storage space, it's a fantastic all-in-one appliance. ... show more

  • Professional-Grade Quality With Exceptional Versatility Professional-Grade Quality With Exceptional Versatility
This is my first experience owning a professional-grade appliance, and I’m genuinely impressed by the quality, design, and overall workmanship. Right out of the box, the unit feels incredibly solid and heavy-duty compared to standard kitchen appliances. The stainless steel construction and tri-ply cooking vessel give it a premium feel, and everything about it seems designed for long-term durability. What really stands out is the versatility. It combines several cooking functions into one appliance, including slow cooking, rice cooking, sauté/searing, and sous vide capability, which helps save both counter space and cleanup time. The controls are straightforward and easy to learn, even for someone new to this style of cooker. The heating performance has been very consistent so far, and it maintains temperature well during longer cooking sessions. One feature I especially like is that the inner cooking vessel can also be used separately as a Dutch oven/roaster in the oven, which adds a lot of flexibility for different recipes. That’s a feature I don’t usually see in multi-cookers and it makes the unit feel much more useful than a typical countertop appliance. ... show more
