  • I have been consistently impressed
After using the Lotus air fry and convection oven for a variety of uses I have been very impressed. The first thing I will say is you do need to read the instructions prior to use, make sure you run it without food to burn off any oils used in the manufacturing process. You will also want to keep them handy to make sure you have the racks configured correctly for the setting you are using. As an example, when toasting bagels the rack needs to be in the upper most position. Once you get the hang of that the oven performs amazing. Where this oven really shines is how even and thorough the heat is. When using other counter top ovens it is sometimes a challenge to cook the food through before it starts to brown. I have not had that issue at all with the Lotus oven. Food cooks all the way through before it starts to brown up and as a result you end up with much better tasting food. This is very noticeable when using the air fry setting. It does take a little bit longer when compared to a dedicated air fryer. However, you don't need to move the food as much thanks to how the air is circulated and you don't end up with burnt food that is lukewarm in the middle. Where this oven really shines is when using the bake setting. It consistently cooks more evenly than our gas range and the probe has really helped unlock possibilities. One of my favorite things to cook is chicken. Once the internal temp is where it needs to be we turn on the air fry mode to crisp up the outside of the chicken. Baking cakes and bread has also been a dream with this when compared to our range. If you are a bread maker the proofing setting is amazing. After placing a thermometer in the oven it holds to the 80 degree temp. Sure beats everything else we have tried in the past! Beyond how it cooks this oven itself is built like a well insulated tank. It holds heat unbelievably well to the point that if you leave the door closed after you remove your food and turn it off it will remain hot/warm for over an hour afterwards. There is a decent amount of weight to the oven as well indicating quality materials were used. The knobs and buttons do not feel cheap either, letting me know that even the smaller components are better than what you will find it in other ovens. Cleaning is a breeze and it is very easy to just throw your trays, baskets, and racks in the dishwasher after use. While this is a more expensive oven you are getting one of, if not the best, performing countertop oven on the market the can easily be used instead of your full-size range. ... show more

  • Versatile countertop oven Versatile countertop oven
I live in the south where summers are HOT and running my oven heats up my kitchen. I was excited to get this countertop convection oven/air fryer/toaster oven combo so I wouldn’t have to run my oven for a few months out of the year, thus saving my ac from running as much and, hopefully, lowering my electric bill. This convection oven combo works well overall and is a beautiful appliance. This has a 3-year warranty, much longer than many appliances. This oven does not turn off automatically when cooking is done, though the timer will continue to beep until you turn it off. The light is handy and illuminates well so you can check your food without opening the door, although it would be nice if it came on when you opened the door. I did not test the temperature probe. There is ample room inside for large dishes or to cook two smaller items on different racks. The preheat time on this is comparable to my electric oven on some settings. Using the knobs to adjust the timer is a bit tedious yet doable. The door is spring-loaded so it does stay open at various positions if you need it to. I cooked several foods on various settings. I made tortilla pizzas using the convection mode and they had to cook much longer than when I make them in the oven. They also cooked unevenly, with burned spots around one edge and the center and other edge slightly undercooked, despite repeatedly extending the time. Further, the pan they were on shifted during cooking with two edges popping up. This also happened when using other pans when cooking other items. I made a quiche using the bake mode and the edges turned slightly brown while the center was perfectly set. Toast cooked well yet seemed to take a longer time than when using a toaster. The setting to pick your number of slices and lightness/darkness is handy. This convection oven made the best brownies and cookies I've had in some time. I made cookies and baked them on the regular bake and convection bake settings. The convection bake setting provided the most rise and nice, crispy edges. Those cooked on the regular setting turned out nice and moist, albeit without the crispy edges (my favorite part). I also made brownies using the regular bake mode; there was a nice rise and the brownies were moist yet not wet with slightly crispy edges. I did not test these on the convection setting. I tested the air fryer mode and had to leave the food in longer than with my traditional air fryer. It did not crisp up as it should. Baking chicken worked well and it came out moist. I made a meatloaf and cooked it at the same time and temp as when making it in the oven. It cooked evenly and tasted the same as if done in the oven. The proofing setting on this is amazing. I wanted to bake bread on a damp, rainy day. I put my dough in the proofer and it turned out fabulous, with a huge rise, much higher than I’d ever had when allowing the dough to proof on the counter. The bread rose nicely, baked well and tasted delicious. I cooked several items using the included pans. The flat pan shows signs of rust after only a few uses. I did not put the pan in the dishwasher, although it is marked as dishwasher safe. I used an SOS pad to get a lot of the discoloration off; some remains in several areas despite repeated scrubbing. One of the bars on a rack was not welded on properly, something that should have been caught in quality control, especially for an item at this price point. Of concern is that the front, top and sides got extremely hot when this is in use. The instruction booklet does warn about this, yet I feel this is quite dangerous for children, the elderly and anyone who may bump against it accidentally. Even my cabinet pulls above the convection oven combo got very warm when it ran for a long time, despite ample clearance. If you’re a baker with a home business this would be a good addition for your kitchen and you would get a lot of use out of it while delivering wonderfully cooked goodies and breads. I do feel the price is rather high for your average consumer and for the quality. I also feel that at this price point there should be consistent, even cooking and the pans should not warp or rust, especially after so little use. Overall, this is a nice oven that takes some trial and error to figure out which items cook best in it and to get the cooking times right. Once you nail it, though, you will be pleased with the results. ... show more

  • Full Countertop Oven AND an Air Fryer Full Countertop Oven AND an Air Fryer
This is much more than just an air fryer, it’s a fully functioning countertop oven including bake, convection, broil, toast, and air fry functions, which explains the higher price. The oven looks pretty on my sturdy stand alone shelving unit, and so far has exceeded my expectations. The cooking surfaces/air fryer basket are all non toxic stainless steel and dishwasher safe. The manual doesn’t mention using parchment liners, but online recommendations suggest using the holed kind if you want to use liners with this air fryer. The inside of the included stainless steel air fry basket measures approximately 13 x 8.25” and 1.25” deep. I haven’t tried liners yet. In addition to the stainless steel removable bottom surface in the oven (similar to what most toaster ovens have), there is an additional stainless steel tray you can use below the air fryer basket, to prevent making a mess in the oven when you air fry in the basket. One of the standout features is the built in temperature probe. You can use it with both bake and air fry, and the oven cooks until the food reaches the internal temp you set. My first air fry test was salmon and broccoli together in the stainless steel basket. I sprayed the basket lightly with oil, put the salmon skin side down in the middle with broccoli around it, added seasonings, (no oil) inserted the probe into the salmon, and set it to air fry until 145 degrees. It took 12 minutes and turned out really good. The timer will keep beeping until you turn the oven off. And there is a bright oven light. I also successfully baked my regular cottage cheese protein bread in my caraway 13x9x2 ceramic pan (which fits!) and it turned out beautifully, just like in my full size kitchen oven. As a replacement for my toaster oven, this is working great. You can choose up to 7 bars between light and dark for toasting, and select the number of pieces you have in the oven. I've been using 3 bars only, of the 7, so set on the lighter side, for my DIY cottage cheese protein bread which is a light flaky white bread. It toasts beautifully. The only downside is it takes 7 minutes... much longer than a smaller toaster oven would, but the results are consistently toasted nice slices of bread. The cord is only a little over 2 feet long with a standard 3 prong plug (it is not a flat plug). Other than broil (top rack), the book doesn't give any recommendations/instructions on where to put the trays in the oven when using the different functions (upper, middle, lower, etc). There are also no recipes or basic cooking instructions included. ... show more

  • This combination Toaster Oven/Air Fryer/Convection Oven does it all, and beautifully, as well. This combination Toaster Oven/Air Fryer/Convection Oven does it all, and beautifully, as well.
This is our first air fryer, and it was quite pleasing to the eye. Beautiful stainless steel, polished in many areas to a mirror finish. The most useful area for finished steel being the drip pan - easy to clean is the greatest thing about it. It comes with a full instruction manual, and I'm glad it did. It's not immediately obvious how the dials and buttons work, so we keep the manual open for reference when needed. Certainly, as we use it more, that won't be necessary. Our first use was to cook a frozen pizza, which had only a slightly browned crust. Following the directions on the package produced a perfectly cooked pizza, as shown in the photos. The usable interior size measures 12.25" deep by 15.5" wide by 7.5" high. This oven does it all - from bagels/toast to air fried French fries to roasting a full chicken. Three levels for the two racks to adjust height of cooking. More even cooking can be accomplished with the convection setting. This circulates the hot air more evenly from top to bottom of the oven. A temperature probe is supplied for measuring internal temperature of foods. Another welcome feature is a bright internal light - no more opening the door to check doneness! It's difficult to describe how attractive this oven looks on the countertop! And how solid and sturdy every piece is. How many features it has. I expect our cooking ability just went up 3 notches. Definitely recommended, but you might want to time your purchase for a sale price. ... show more

  • We are using it daily!
Lotus Air Fry and Convection Oven, Air Fryer Toaster Oven Combo, Countertop Convection Oven, The Perfectionist, 1800 Watts, Stainless Steel, Professional Series, LTSCO500 This is going to get used so much in our house. I have already been using it for toast, bagels, and eggo waffles almost every morning for the kids. Use the same device to air fry snacks that the kids like instead of using the over or microwave. Plus I can cook a casserole, or chicken, pretty much anything I want for dinner in it, instead of heating up the house with the main oven (will be a blessing this summer). While yes, this then is really 900$, but it works so good and is so versatile on what it can be used for. You don't need a separate microwave, toaster, or airfryer, because you can just use this! It makes it worth that amount. The quality is fantastic. I was able to read and understand the instructions on how to set everything pretty easily. I have even been able to show my kids how to do the airfryer and toaster part with my supervision to help them gain their independence. A nice wet cloth and a dry microfiber cloth to wipe it down afterwards is all you really need to clean it after using it. ... show more

  • Bentley of toaster ovens, I recommend an effective break in heating before food use. Bentley of toaster ovens, I recommend an effective break in heating before food use.
I have had the opportunity to try out this Lotus oven, normally out of my price range, I can understand the value in this versatile countertop sized unit after cooking with it. Visually attractive and having a solid feel with some weight to it, door and controls also seem to be durable and operate smoothly. Circular rubber pads on the base of each corner keep from sliding and protect your counter finish from possible scratching. The included use and care guide offers useful information and is easy to follow and understand. The “before first use” section recommends something I have always done with new cooking equipment, to heat prior to use burning off “residual oils”. They recommend 450 for 5 minutes, not long enough in my opinion. I cleaned the interior and accessory racks and trays then placed them in the oven, I thought 450 for about 20 minutes should cook any oils, paints, or finish smells off, I was wrong. I recommend an hour or more, with windows open in my home the smell emitted was very unpleasant and I regret not doing it outside the house instead. A few subsequent uses and smell is now minor and going away I hope. Air fried chicken, onion rings, and fries turned out very well as the first meal, crisp and delicious with even heating. A chunk of ham another day on the convection bake setting heated up nicely, it wasn’t thick enough to try the probe out otherwise I would comment on that feature. Left over pizza air fried for 7 minutes was fantastic with crispy crunchy crust, I think it was better than the full size oven initially cooked the pizza days earlier. The sides, well 3 sides and the top get extremely hot, you need proper clearance around this oven, and no storing anything on top, keep this in mind during use and until oven fully cools. One thing is disappointing, initial inspection and interior cleaning brought to my attention some staining or rust on the “ceiling” area inside oven, but everything else looks immaculate. I like it and it now resides at work where I can cook a good lunch, (they feed us bad food 70% of the time). Is it worth it??? You have to decide, but if you’re reading this you must be thinking about it, it’s a very nice oven with good cooking results, and I think it should last. ... show more

  • Best heavy duty fryer
I know this is technically meant for professional chefs but we've been looking for a decent air fryer for years. We recently replaced the last one we had after about 5 years of using it. We got our last one from walmart and it sucked. It would not thoroughly cook through anything and it was incredibly hard to clean. This thing is MUCH easier to clean, comes with a lot more ways to cook food and it makes our mini corn dogs and nuggets top tier. Plus the light actually stays on. I love the fact it has physical knobs rather than a touch screen that works maybe 2% of the time. I can tell this thing is actually going to last a long time. Which for the price I would sure hope so. If you can afford this, I would highly recommend it. it'll actually last you a long time and there's no need for an app or subscription just to use it. It feels like back in the early 2000s when they'd still make things that lasted a long time. Not to mention the door is a slow close so I don't have to try to slam the door shut just to get it cooking. It automatically closes just by pushing it a bit. ... show more

  • The Mega Air Fryer – This Thing Does Everything! The Mega Air Fryer – This Thing Does Everything!
This is seriously the mega air fryer… the air fryer of all air fryers! I was honestly shocked by how much this comes with and how many different things it can do. It feels more like a full cooking station than just a basic air fryer. One of my favorite features is that you can check the temperature of the meat directly on the screen without constantly opening the oven to check it yourself. That is such a huge plus and makes cooking so much easier and more accurate. I also love how versatile it is. You can do so many different types of cooking with it and it feels very high-end and professional. It has quickly become one of my favorite kitchen appliances. I absolutely LOVE it! ... show more
