This hands-free car phone mount actually fits very well but it took a few tries for my friend to get it securely installed in his work truck vent. He eventually figured it out. He says it holds his phone well enough, and although it's a little bit shaky in a truck, otherwise it’s fine.

My Ramblings The quest for a better handsfree experience is a never-ending journey of self discovery along with the limitations of your vehicle and the mounts you find (sounds like my first date). So let's see if this option fits your needs. To the Point or TL;DR Holds my phone tightly. I tested it before install with my phone by shaking it violently and my phone won. Easy to install and adjust tightness and positions. Needs rubber gasket between it and face of vent for better stabilization. Some parts are thin and present potential break points. Works good with bumpy road caveat. First Thoughts This is my first vent phone holder, but I don't have anywhere else convenient to mount a phone. The concern is would it hold (it does), would it break my vent (it hasn't yet), and what does a new vent cost (don't know). Also, my vehicle doesn't provide a smooth ride and the streets are horrible or should I say the smooth areas between the potholes are far between. Some Good Stuff It works and is versatile. Put's my phone where I can easily see it & reach it without additional distractions and its handsfree. Although, now everyone can see me watching my daytime operas. Just kidding (or am I). Some Meh Stuff / FYI The only thing I don't like is it shakes just enough while driving to make it hard to see well. That being said, I do have a stiff suspension and refer you back to above potholes. Also, those few thin parts makes me think it may break easily, but it's not much different than others I have seen. This is more of an FYI than bad stuff. Suggestion: They could make a rubber piece that flushes against the vent baffle edges so it touches a solid surface. This would stop the vibration and take some stress off the baffles. Kinda like a gasket. Probably make one of those out of bubble gum and paperclips or cardboard or actual rubber. Just thinking 'ere. Who May Use/Like It Those who need/want some handsfree telephony. Me Final Thoughts Overall, not shabby. I like and we'll see how it goes. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Hope it helps! It is with hard-won and expensive experience that I can say THIS CELLPHONE HOLDER IS ONE OF THE BEST I HAVE EVER USED! I have tried dozens of cellphone holders over the years – and still have a box of them in the basement. This is one of the best. Normally I wouldn’t get this exuberant about a part for my car, but after spending so much money over the years and being frustrated with the dozens that I’ve tried before, it is great to have a device that finally fits right and solves the problem. Much better than suction cup cellphone holders, and much better than cupholder cellphone holders - and I've tried both. -- SECURE FIT: It locks onto the vent securely – no wobble, no shaking, no moving around, o rattling sound, no flying off on hard braking, no loosening, and no need for readjustment or fidgeting. It holds the phone securely exactly where I place it, and has a stable attachment to the vent. -- Flexible placement: The mounting and locking system works on a wide range of vent sizes, designs and placements. This hooks on exactly where I place it, and does not move from there. Yeah! -- Good fit with the phone. The holder does not interfere with access to the buttons on my Samsung Galaxy phone or my wife's iPhone. That was an issue with some holders, but the fit here is perfect. That one was small and glued to the dashboard and worked well on smooth roads, but the phone would get dropped by hard bumps or when driving off road.
