This may be an entry-level tool designed for the casual home user, but it packs a wallop of air blowing capacity in a small package. And somehow it does it without being too heavy or expensive. There are a number of features that I like on this device: --The “chassis” that holds the unit for storage. This part cradles the motor of the blower when you set it down so it doesn’t roll around or tip over when stored. Given that these have a center of gravity that is unstable when not in use, this is a real convenient item (though use is optional). --The strap. The simple strap is a nice feature for holding it with one hand, to provide extra support. --The simple 3 speed switch. This only requires one thumb to control the speeds, unlike some blowers that require a complex two trigger system as some sort of dexterity test to turn them on. This is just press to start, press again to increase speed, press again (long press) to turn off, or (short press) to get to max speed. I don’t love that you have to hold it for 2 seconds to shut it off, but what that means in practice is that you need to point it away from something until it turns off if you are trying to control the air for that extra two seconds. I think they should have just made the click number 4 in a row the off switch, but no matter, this is a small issue. --The noise. This machine doesn’t seem to try too hard to be quiet! This might annoy the neighbors, but it’s putting all the power into making air flow (650 CFM as quoted by the maker). and it’s a tad noisy but all the more substantial because of it. I’m tired of blowers that sacrifice power for noise reduction. It’s going to be noisy for a few minutes, and then the job is done. Better than droning on with a slower version. --The 2 batteries with the standalone charger. The 20 volt batteries can be charged easily and swapped in and out without any fuss. They are not difficult to remove or charge and the charger has red for charging and green for fully charged. This is simple (and better than many that have blinking patterns etc.). Similarly if you are wearing headphones to damped the noise, it has a level indicator for what speed you are using the device at during operation. Again, simple and effective. Also has level indicators for remaining charge on the batteries. -The ability to disassemble the air tube into 2 pieces for storage, moving or cleaning. I get tired of moving the blower around the garage all winter after the fall leaves have been dealt with. So taking it apart into 3 pieces is a nice convenience. So there is plenty to like about this device. It’s not as heavy duty as commercial versions, but it’s also easy to use, easy to maintain, and easy to assemble, making it great for the average homeowner.
