Features 5
- Experience The 4K Difference: Thanks to the camera's powerful 8MP image sensor, you'll experience the difference that 4K resolution makes when it comes to your security. 4K means there are more than 8 million pixels, and that results in sharper video and realistic color representation
- See in Color Through The Night: This camera features our revolutionary Color Night Vision (CNV) technology, which will produce full-color video with the help of external lighting around the camera. CNV also adds a further level of detail (the color of clothes or cars, for example), and increases contrast for easier detection and recognition of people and objects
- Long-range IR Night Vision: In regular nighttime conditions that are too dark for CNV to render full-color images, this camera will use it's infrared LEDs to record crisp black and white video footage up to 130-feet away and up to 90-feet in complete darkness
- Easy PoE Installation: This security camera only needs a single Cat5e ethernet cable to connect it to the NVR. This cable provides video transmission, power to the camera, a stable network connection, and installation flexibility up to 300ft (as the camera does not need to be plugged into a nearby power source)
- Weatherproof Security Camera: Mother Nature is no match for this security camera. Rated IP67, it can endure anything from torrential downpours to freezing snowstorms. So go ahead and place this security camera where you need it most

Pretty Good Camera
Good IP camera. Recommend to put your power to camera on surge protector. Even if from NVR.

Worst tech support
I’ve had a frustrating experience with Lorex’s Pan-Tilt 2K WiFi camera. The camera frequently stops recording its 24-hour footage indefinitely until I manually reboot it. This issue has worsened over time, now happening every few days, which means I have to check the camera each morning and reboot it if it’s stopped recording. On my first call to support, one representative claimed the SD card was full, not realizing that the camera’s looping feature manages storage automatically. On the second call, they want me to do internet connection test. However, on the third call, the support representative insisted that any internet disconnect would cause the camera to stop recording indefinitely until rebooted. This was confusing because the camera stores footage locally on the SD card and shouldn’t depend on internet stability for local recording. Additionally, I was disappointed by the overall quality of the technical support. It felt like the support staff lacked basic knowledge about how the camera works, which was surprising and frustrating.

Almost perfect
I replaced a different brand with the Lorex brand and as far as daytime picture quality, these are amazing! The cameras have a really great field of view (very wide as compared to the previous brand), however, these cameras only have a couple of IR lights so the nighttime vision suffers (again, compared to the previous brand). The night vision is acceptable, but just not as bright as I would prefer. That being said, I am happy with this system and the cameras.

Works with Linux motion
Using a computer on a closed network, the government is trying to ban and will not buy a lot of Chinese cameras because of security issues. (just google cameras the government is trying to ban). Lorex is made by Dahua. I'm using Linux and a program called motion. The cameras kept dropping frames until I set the frame rate on the computer higher than the camera. Now they work very well, no dropped frames and a higher frame rate than the camera says it will produce. The best night videos I've ever seen.
