This is a very simple and easy to use. It's my daughter's first real music system, and it's perfect for her. We went out and bought a few CDs and immediately tested out the unit. Setup took seconds and we were off and running. The sound quality is fine for an entry level player. There's not a full band equalizer, but there are a few preset EQ options (pop, jazz, etc). It looks cool and seems sturdy enough for an 11 year old to play with. No complaints at this price point!
